Having played Eve Online in the past I know CCP will eventually get somewhere with this game. It helps to understand they have a history of being slow to react to some problems if not ignoring them for years.
It's a 21st century game with digital age issues.
So yes in some form like all Adapter types I'll be around.

Somehow, despite the massive headaches it gave me and still does, I'm sticking with it. Why? Because no other game out there made me feel so alive by being so frustrated in my entire life.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

If the game isn't any better by the time Destiny or The Division are out,I'm more than likely gone,with very little reason to come back.
Also looking forward to iNFamous Second Son and Watchdogs.I'll also more than likely be playing Titanfall on PC,so with all that,I honestly can't see myself on Dust this time next year unless it's light years better than what it is now,and it has a larger playerbase to actually fight against. |

Foxhound Corporation isn't dead yet and if me and Max have our way, we'll be shaking things up the more it progresses.
Personally, I have high hopes for the game and hope that the meta and mechanics make up for this grind we're all on. |

I made it through the first 3 months of Uprising, I can make it through anything.
I'm done with PS3 purchases.
Second gen PS4 with Destiny will (most likely) end my stay.

Yes I will, and so will many.
DUST 514 is like an upper class abusive relationship. You get whipped and smacked around but there is just something that keeps making you want to come back.
When DUST 514 is super good I will be able to say without a doubt that I had (have) 100% faith in it's success.
When we get things like PvE, I'll have so much SP that it won't even be funny.
It takes about 3-4 years to skill into everything. How long is EvE running again? They just celebrated EvE's 10th anniversary.

Said this in the other "are you going to quit Dust" topic but I'm looking forward to sharing stories of how god awful this game used to be with the next generation of newberries while we're boarding a Titan to disable its weapon systems before it can unload its doomsday device on a planet our corp has taken control over in a last ditch "If we can't have it, then no one can" effort.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Hell, Its free and its continually getting better.
EVE players may be pissed, but as long as they are paying up, DUST will persevere.
So, for all intents and purposes, I get a free game that will get better over time that will last 4EVAR.
I Have other reasons to be faithful.

i wont be replacing my ps3 when it dies, unless we have a new platform (PC)
I wont stay for long while the controls and TTK are in their current state
Lag is the only other reason the game would make me quit, currently lag has not been a real issue but if TTK gets any lower then it will be
other than that its down to how it matches up against what else is out there, as long as its still fun to play and can compete with others around i will still be here
The market and connection to EvE will make this game, if done wrong i will be out of here, if done well i will never leave, just hope they take their time and get it right

Dust has become much more of a social experience for me than the game itself so I have no problem dealing with ups and downs and various problems.
Once they run off my current New Eden friends, as they have so many already, I will follow suit and turn in my merc papers. |
