Anyone who survived the living hell that was early closed Beta obviously has an unhealthy mix of stubbornness and loyalty to this game that will likely end in an obsession which fractures the very base of their existence.

I'm 15 days away from my one year anniversary when I first downloaded DUST 514. I've been here constantly since then, and I plan to stay here until the servers shut down.

i wont be replacing my ps3 when it dies, unless we have a new platform (PC)
I wont stay for long while the controls and TTK are in their current state
Lag is the only other reason the game would make me quit, currently lag has not been a real issue but if TTK gets any lower then it will be
other than that its down to how it matches up against what else is out there, as long as its still fun to play and can compete with others around i will still be here
The market and connection to EvE will make this game, if done wrong i will be out of here, if done well i will never leave, just hope they take their time and get it right

Dust has become much more of a social experience for me than the game itself so I have no problem dealing with ups and downs and various problems.
Once they run off my current New Eden friends, as they have so many already, I will follow suit and turn in my merc papers. |
