Could someone tell me if there will be a respec and when it will be? When I first started playing I had no Idea of what to best spec into. Now that I have a decent idea of what to do I would love the chance for a "Do Over" so I could actually run something decent. |

It baffles me what peoples problem about making posts on alts is .. after all it isn't like our mains are actually our real names with pictures and a bio of who we really are anyway so we are all technically hiding with anonimity

I would spec out of vehicles and shield rechargers and a few other things and finally finish biotics. I don't think I would have enough for a proto scout :/ |

there is no guaranteed date or respec at all, but ccp is changing so much that nothing short of a respec could be explainable.
plus everyone is pumped for it. if they let us all down by not giving us a respec, then they will lose A LOT of players who have stayed loyal to this game.

As stupid as it might seem, if i didn't get a respec when all the new suits are in and place holder bonus's are changed id say there is a 95% chance that i will just quit. Hell the fact that the game is literally just armour tanked suits (regardless of race, love seeing all those caldari suits with 400+ armour, yay for diversity!) with ARs has finally turned me off the game untill 1.7, every game is always the same because everyone does the same this because its all that is viable basically.
A respec won't fix that, but it would liven it up for me to try something new and completely different and hold my interest for more time because grinding to try something new in 3 game modes were everyone is an armour tanked AR yard ape is just getting old.
Before the FOTM police jump on my case i am currently an Amarr Assault with an imperial Scr, wtf would i respec into that would be worse than that come the changes in 1.7? Probably only the Rail Rifle and thats about it. I already took a blood oath that if we got a respec i would be a minmatar purist with my posse and only bring the Dakka using their weapons/suits unless they was no matari variant, such as AV weapons as the only race that has them is Caldari. |

CCP will only offer respecs whenever they make significant changes to the skill tree. And by significant, I don't mean little changes such a change in the percentage but rather huge game-altering changes like when you see skill books being removed, added, split up, merged, etc. which can affect literally everyone regardless of which weapon or suit they use.
CCP will not make a respec system simply because you didn't know better. They will only give out respecs if they overhaul the skill tree.
The point of this is so that you can learn how to adapt and survive with what little you have. In other words, you have to play with the hand you're dealt with. This is part of the Eve Online culture that has been thriving for over 10 years.
A culture that Dust 514 shares and therefore adopted.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

Until all core skills and assets are in the game, and we gain more to do then 3 incredibly basic game modes, requests for respecs are both valid and warranted.

Well, hopefully we'll see more of that in 1.7.
