Of the current CPM's I've made no secret that Heinrich Jagerblitzen is my favorite, and I follow his blog quite often. I doubt he is running again which is really unfortunate.
I've heard rumours of some people maybe running , like DSTheDrunkHeavy and if the CPM are not picked by CCP I'm excited to see who runs. At this point, I feel the current CPM has busted their butt but it may be time for a breathe of fresh air.
At one point I had alot of people saying they wanted me to run but I'm not comfortable(right now) with having my real information available to the public. We shall see as DUST is my favorite game regardless of its issues.
I'm going to need a campaign manager *hint hint*

What aspect of the game would you personally focus on, or what unique views do you think you would bring to the table? Most of all, what do you feel you would do to better hear the voice of the community, were you to become a member of the CPM? Q)What is it about the position that makes you want to run? A)I obviously want the game to improve, and for the community to have a better voice to CCP. Q)What aspect of the game would you personally focus on? A) I would put more focus on the voices of the community that im part of. (since im not going to lie, everyone including myself is going to be at least a bit biased) But the communities voice not just my own. Q)what unique views do you think you would bring to the table? A) While my primary goal is to be voice of the community, I have experance in (Pre), Alpha and Beta testing of quite a few games (both payed for and unpayed work) I bring that attribute although not completelly unique to the table among other things. Q)Most of all, what do you feel you would do to better hear the voice of the community, were you to become a member of the CPM? A)I lurk the forums constantly, Im part of many chat channels and Iv invited people many times to come talk to me about anything they want to in game. While currently I want people to meet me and talk to me so they know at least one person thats running i'll move that to them having a voice while they dont have a major identitie on the forums. I also urge people who have possitive ideas in game who dont use the forums to post. Currently the community is constantly left in the dark on everything CCP has planned or is thinking on. I think beyond everything else right now CPM's actual influence on the game is minimal to the point there own opinions don't honestly matter. Our current reps have given into CCP's idea of conformity to accept the role - It needs to be broken, shattered, and smeared as a horrible concept. If we're getting monthly updates/patches, then we should get weekly reports. That should be CPM's main focus and goal - creating a stronger link between community and development. If you're unheard - you should be told so, and why.
That would be everything I'd focus on. When it comes down to helping developers see what's wrong - it would take a forum warrior reading all your posts to help guide CCP into the direction everyone wants or believes. And if it's not on there agenda, again, we should be told so and why.
They have some silly ideas of what to keep in the dark.
Though to be fair - I'd likely be booted from CPM for not kissing CCP's butt. So I'm a risky choice.

Yeah, this will end well... If they can track IP maybe they can give each playstation a single set of votes per election, so that way you'd have to own multiple playstations across multiple accounts just to vote more than once. Not foolproof of course, but something like that could drastically cut down the number of alt votes you'd see ottherwise. Tracking IP's isn't reliable.

I'm just going to knowingly be trolled by the first 2 words and abbreviation and say no lol. You'd prefer the meek CPM we have now? Idc which troll gets CPM - as long as someone vocal does.

Iron Wolf Saber wrote:THEAMAZING POTHEAD wrote:I'd vote for sota, we need someone on CPM who doesn't have the view of a scrub. In other words A GOOD player often has different, more educated opinions on video games. Having someone whose participated in PC, has played the game a buttload, and knows how to r@pe is whats needed.
That way they have better views on balance, priorities of what keeps the game fresh, and so on. For instance, its pretty much common knowledge the game needs a respec SOON(most would agree on doing it when racials are brought out[2.0?]) yet only kain spero is really in favor of respecs. Funny Story, CPM is not responsible for any sorts of balancing. CCP Team Kong does that work, and they're far better armed at it because they have the entire player base generating numbers. Also time and time again Pro (specialist type) players have proven to me they are more than capable of overlooking pain points often because it doesn't affect them or they're ignorant such options exist. (top of the world blindness) Now on the other hand players who say run PC battles often, have to organize and devise tactics are the type of pro players that would be more useful as they are going to be more familiar with the stupid and smart things players do and things that are just to easy to press button to get bacon. These sorts are also quickest to adapt if you take away their favorite toy (where the other type would throw a hissy fit and refuse to adapt.) Top world blindness, or adaptability, which is it? It can't be both. If a player is capable of breaking down everything and finding the best and worst option he's a good pick - but if he's capable of that it also means he's capable of noticing the little things that may irk others.
But what it really boils down too is if the 'pro' player is looking to make the gun fun or balanced. Dust has shown us the both don't always meet eye to eye. Example: AR. It's a fun weapon to use because you can meet several situations and come out on top - but it's not very balanced in regards to other weapons, making those other weapons less fun. So do you nerf the weapon of choice - or buff the weapons not enjoying themselves?
