Q)What is it about the position that makes you want to run?
A)I obviously want the game to improve, and for the community to have a better voice to CCP.
Q)What aspect of the game would you personally focus on?
A) I would put more focus on the voices of the community that im part of. (since im not going to lie, everyone including myself is going to be at least a bit biased) But the communities voice not just my own.
Q)what unique views do you think you would bring to the table?
A) While my primary goal is to be voice of the community, I have experance in (Pre), Alpha and Beta testing of quite a few games (both payed for and unpayed work) I bring that attribute although not completelly unique to the table among other things.
Q)Most of all, what do you feel you would do to better hear the voice of the community, were you to become a member of the CPM?
A)I lurk the forums constantly, Im part of many chat channels and Iv invited people many times to come talk to me about anything they want to in game. While currently I want people to meet me and talk to me so they know at least one person thats running i'll move that to them having a voice while they dont have a major identitie on the forums.
I also urge people who have possitive ideas in game who dont use the forums to post.

The lack of balance and these problems IWS is a major part of why the playerbase is so low and why people leave.
Thats more important then marketting.
Player retention > player aquisition
Its great to get new players but it wont matter if theres no one wanting to play it after a week.

- I play the game regularly and talk to people from multiple aspects of Dust on a daily basis.
- Have a good relationship with a number of CCP employees and CPM members, not afraid to call them out when needed though.
- Have worked with CCP/CPM on things like exploits, bugs and the latest tournament (as well as more upcoming stuff).
- Have experience with working in eSports in multiple ways (running tournaments, sponsored player, working in production) and would be able to give useful feedback to CCP regarding eSports.
- Want to push CCP to giving more support to third parties. Such as assets (art, sound) for Bloggers and video producers, as well as more promotion of good content. Also want to keep pushing for one of these.
- Willing to dedicate time every week to getting open feedback from players. Also willing to listen to other points of view and bring those forward.
Not sure if I'm the most popular of candidates, but I'm willing to knuckle down and put in the work required.
I support Revo here running for CPM (vote for me first though lol).

It'll prob be 1 vote per person if they can figure out how it wont be rigged.

and thats all fine and dandy but if they arnt pushed as the top 5 most important issues then theres a problem. Look at my corp, this characters corp. 152 people, maybe 3 active. They all left because the lack of balance. Thats ONE corperation. Thats a problem.
Edit : I should mention, that prior to uprising and even in the first few days of uprising, these people were on at least 3 - 4 times a week.

Sorry CCP doesn't look at claims about corporate politics but they do look at the numbers fed to them by the servers instead. While your own corp may be failing to maintain presence other corps are swelling in numbers and maintaining their numbers. The whole churning is normal, trim and weed and replant. I am unable to claim majority of players want x or my constituent wants y. I have to show CCP or stir up trouble on showing them this is the story Z, and we need solutions to alleviate these concerns with parts of solution A B and C. Saying the 'players want' just bad translates into 'what I want' in the cpm circle. It is almost just better to drop that part off entirely. No need to sell that further inside using such silly phrases but having a well thought out and we'll debate thread on the forums, video evidence, clicking back to community reports has helped pushed agendas that need addressing. The other thing people are going have to accept while being in the CPM is being wrong.

Let me ask you again, Do you have any idea how weak your statement is? Sit down and think about it, you're talking to a guy that works on the game and you told this to him, do you think this statement would cause action? or even a response from the developer?
Yes, because iv worked with Devs teams before and when they lost 50 people they flipped ****.

Also just an ineffective statement. Then tell them to look at the data Let me harken this time old phrase. "Preaching to the Choir." or more rudely "No @#$% Sherlock." So we wasted what 8, 10 posts? and about an hour trying to exacerbate a symptom and not heal the source of the problem. See how inefficient and ineffective it is? How to be more effective: At that point the message generally winds up on that team lead's desk he looks it over analyzes it and sometimes sends a message back or gets in skype and asks a few questions or shows up in our next meeting to discuss the longer term plans on fixing things.
Could of been quicker but im playing the game while on the forums

I know that at some point in the future, I would like to run for the council, though right now I would be a bad fit because of RL stuff, so I won't be running in the first election. The last thing I want is to be a drain on the CPM, which is why I'll be waiting.
That said, I know there are a number of you who would make great candidates, and I just wanted to make this thread so we can get a better idea of who's still interested in the position, and why. Remove all the current CPM's apart from Iron Wolf I have still yet to see a single constructive post made by any of the other CPM's who simply abuse their position and don't actually forward any of the player feedback onto CCP You are an idiot, IWS, and no offence to him, is not the CPM I would go to if I had something to suggest to the devs. Hans by far is my fav CPM simply because he has gone out of his way several times to ge people together to discuss game features and such. Heinrich and Kain are the only two I've ever seen in game, AFAIK, none of the others even play the game.
Im personally played with all the CPMs but the french man (but I dont think he play in pubs) and IWS (but iv seen him redline tanking because his "omni soldier" build is crappy)

SoTarian PoParrazi wrote:Iron Wolf Saber wrote:THEAMAZING POTHEAD wrote:I'd vote for sota, we need someone on CPM who doesn't have the view of a scrub. In other words A GOOD player often has different, more educated opinions on video games. Having someone whose participated in PC, has played the game a buttload, and knows how to r@pe is whats needed.
That way they have better views on balance, priorities of what keeps the game fresh, and so on. For instance, its pretty much common knowledge the game needs a respec SOON(most would agree on doing it when racials are brought out[2.0?]) yet only kain spero is really in favor of respecs. Funny Story, CPM is not responsible for any sorts of balancing. CCP Team Kong does that work, and they're far better armed at it because they have the entire player base generating numbers. Also time and time again Pro (specialist type) players have proven to me they are more than capable of overlooking pain points often because it doesn't affect them or they're ignorant such options exist. (top of the world blindness) Now on the other hand players who say run PC battles often, have to organize and devise tactics are the type of pro players that would be more useful as they are going to be more familiar with the stupid and smart things players do and things that are just to easy to press button to get bacon. These sorts are also quickest to adapt if you take away their favorite toy (where the other type would throw a hissy fit and refuse to adapt.) Top world blindness, or adaptability, which is it? It can't be both. If a player is capable of breaking down everything and finding the best and worst option he's a good pick - but if he's capable of that it also means he's capable of noticing the little things that may irk others. But what it really boils down too is if the 'pro' player is looking to make the gun fun or balanced. Dust has shown us the both don't always meet eye to eye. Example: AR. It's a fun weapon to use because you can meet several situations and come out on top - but it's not very balanced in regards to other weapons, making those other weapons less fun. So do you nerf the weapon of choice - or buff the weapons not enjoying themselves?
Thinking the AR is fun would be wrong as well. A bullet hose that instantly downs people isnt fun, its boring. Unless you were a kid who grew up getting everything handed to you.
