Matchmaking sucksi would also like to apologize for the poor quality, the only recording device i have is the dazzle cable and its video quality sucks.... so please bare with me at least until i can afford to get the el gato capture card so i can give you good quality videos. Yeap it's pretty much the story in 19/20 games It's an extremely serious problem that get's overlooked because it benefits a majority of the vets who actually actively take part in the stomping Every suggestion about SP based matchmaking or Meta level gamemodes gets dismissed by these people because they don't see a problem with what is shown in your video I posted a thread about holding a protest and it proceeded to be met with hostility by these people and instead of them actually thinking about why the protest was suggested they instead reverted to denying that there's a problem and to HTFU It's at the stage where the only way to get this issue resolved is to continue posting evidence like you have done and to hold an ingame protest, a declining player base hasn't led to CCP fixing the issue and if people not playing the game has no affect then honestly what else is there we can do to get the problem looked at and dealt with ? PS Good job on the video evidence, It doesn't matter if the quality isn't perfect as we can see the problem clearly Alright, now allow me to preface this by stating that I am (and always have been/will be) 100% against AFKing for ISK/SP. Now that that is out of the way, I support your protest idea. Here is how I propose it be done. These ******* generally all get off on how "leet" they are by racking up huge numbers of kills and how they have a KDR over 9000 and this is their proof of how "leet" they are. So simply deny them kills, rubberband your controller and spin circles in the MCC while reading or playing with fits or whatever tickles you at the moment. Yeah, they'll win the match but they won't get their astronomical KDR. If you're like me and can't stomach the thought of AFKing, run [STARTER FIT]s and take pride in knowing that you aren't losing anything aside from KDR (which really is meaningless in the grand scheme of things) while ever time one of them dies, it is likely that they are losing the cost of a PRO fits (since you're not really "leet" if you don't take absolutely EVERY advantage you can). I've never AFKed before, I probably should've mentioned that in the protest post and the only reason I'm going to do it on pubgames on wednesday's is as an act of protest Don't just do it on Wednesdays as an "act of Protest", just do it whenever you see a stacked amount of Protobears on the other side. @VAHZZ Scotty should be stripped of his yellow shirt and then issued a red shirt and a scrambler pistol shot to the neck. This would solve the matchmaking woes....
Alot of people do that anyway and all that will happen is further anti AFK measures will be introduced whilst the matchmaking protostomping issue will continue to be ignored, if it's confined to a wednesday we can then use that to say look CCP wednesday was full of players AFKING in protest at xxxxx and they will continue to protest every wednesday until the issue is addressed ... if people AFK throughout the week it becomes difficult to see who is actually protesting and who is just going AFK
AFKing is just an in game version of a sit in protest

I've skilled up to PRO in a number of things, but I mostly run STD gear. Am I supposed to be matched with the protostompers? If they base it, a bit more intelligently, on the average meta I've run over the past, say, month, and I'm matched with other STD users, I can suddenly go full PRO and stomp everyone. If I kept it up, my average meta use would slowly rise, though, so I suppose I just answered my own question. Is this the sort of thing you have in mind? In any case, my gun game is pretty crappy compared to average, though I have lots of SP and high-level gear from playing far too much...meta-level matchmaking (by itself, at least), wouldn't address that. *Joins Standard Match* *Any fit with a proto gun or suit is locked* There. Technically, shouldn't it also include Complex mods? It could, but I just feel they don't really break the new v old player balance.

My thoughts: In battle finder there be an option where you can choose what level of fits to be used and everything above that level will not be able to be used like: Standard only- only standard suits, weapons, and modules can be used. anything Advanced or Proto will be locked. This way Someone who is running a proto fit won't ruin the day of some standard only user and they will be with other proto users This would only be for pub matches, not FW or PC. Don't know if something like this will work, but hey you gotta consider all ideas right? :) |

Congratulations Karl Marx II that sums up the CCP mindset perfectly. Instead of fixing a problem ignore it, when taking action make the situation worse.
This issue of Matchmaking isn't a new one. We've talked about it extensively in the past when there was a bigger player base. The two known solutions so far has been Battle Academy which has all the usefulness of a second-hand band-aid. The other was faster game deployment so people are less likely to check the roster.
It is a complicated problem that has beaten the Devs. If there is a simple solution no one has voiced it over the last year plus.

I never had the chance to play against them. For shame. I wish to show them the true power of this AR and ScR to give them reason for changes!

I play solo quite a bit and get proto stomped alot, now i can proto stomp or bring out a tank but its pointless and you lose ISK either way and i end up using BPO fits and mucking about
Now if im in a 6man group i can then proto stomp since its more efficient since its most likely we all have proto and we whack most games easily namely due to being against randoms
You solo you get stomped, you group you do the stomping, there seems to be no middle ground at all I have very little issues fighting teams solo or in a duo, but in some it can go sideways really fast when its up against 2 teams, but i prefer a fast paced game where i need to react in a split second vs those games where you are in a team of 6, most of the 6 man teams ive been in, i had issues staying awake. Ive pretty much perfected my suit setup tonight and have broken all my previous records while running solo.
You run a proto medium suit with a assault scram
Now i can run a proto heavy suit with a boundless the big ******* huge difference is that i dont get the advantage of aim assist for my HMG and im the size of a house with as much tank as a LAV but its means **** because time to kill is on its ******* knees so HP means **** all and its all about who can twitch 1st with 2 dmg mods on |
