So does anyone still maintain hope for this game?
We're at that point now. The PS4 is out and the frenzy for next-gen is beginning. There are those who still have hope in CCP to make this game as revolutionary as they have oh so often claimed. I for one have been holding out since February, and truth be told the game hasn't made any leaps and bounds since then worth noting. In fact, some may say it's taken a few steps backwards (aim assist, AR dominance, lag lag and more lag).
I'm not really complaining about CCP's timetable or priorities, but more so in their sheer lack of keeping up with their own promises. The DUST presentations got people so psyched for all the new promised content, but it seems like none of it is really coming anytime soon. A vehicle patch that was promised two months ago took that long to iron out. How long do you think all the other stuff (racial dropsuits, FW changes, PC 2.0, new game modes) will take? Does CCP expect people to hold out several years for a "finished" product like EVE? Are you willing to hold out?

As it stands, claiming victory in PC isn't even something worth beholding. The true champions have long gone because of lag, mechanics, or other reasons. Sure someone will eventually step up claim the throne but for the average player none of that even matters
What do new players get when they finally decide, "OK, I'm ready for PC"? They get a *****-slap to the face because 30 seconds in the abhorrent lag sets in.

It is something that has always kind of bothered me.
The community is often times more fun than the game itself. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

I'm not really on either side of this.
On one end, I'm hoping DUST will live up to its own expectations. On the other end, I'm very skeptical as to how long people will hold out when content is delivered at a snail's pace.

Had hope for this game up to Nov 14, got a ps4 and now I will never touch Ps3 or dust ever again. The gap is just too wide now and nothing they can do will shorten that on current gen.
