And I'd love some clarification
Are Assault Dropships still being removed in 1.7? If so....I will be sad :(
I only just realized how much I love them, I've gone like 15 matches now without losing one, even having a few descent matches like this one. I've just heard some people saying it's been said that they aren't being removed, but I haven't seen anything like that, so I was just hoping someone could clear that up a bit and either make me really happy or really sad

Well seeing as how they are most likely removing logi/scout LAVs...might as well assume that the assault dropship is going away too.
BUT...maybe they'll just remove the specialization and add the option to fit a front turret or not onto your dropship, just like they will be making it optional to add a back turret to LAVs.

That was what I was thinking, it would be pretty damn cool, that's for sure.
I had a blast with my ADS just now, 18 matches, no deaths, most games I went around 15/0. Good day, definitely a good day, sorry SoTa

I have a possible unconvential view of assault dropships.
For me, the whole turret thing is next to useless. I mean, it's super difficult to actualy make a kill with the stupid thing. It'ssabout as useless as the little turret on an LAV. No wait, make that LESS useful. Because its much more difficult to chase a ground target around without losing your vehicle. If your're close, you're in danger of crashing. If you're far, it's really RAELLY difficult to hit anything.
So.. what I like about it, is the handling. Particularly on the armor-tree side.
Gorgon wallows around like a garbage scow.
Grimnes is... slightly better.
But Incubus..... Incubus is WTH-how-did-you-replace-my-armordropship-with-a-viper?!?!?!!!

<3 the Incubus. Use a fragmented turret on the front, and just be patient with your shots. If you have friends with scanners, that will make your life SO much easier, since you can see them much better. Once you get the hang of it, you'd be surprised how easy you can get kills with an ADS
