Here is my version of how the AR should perform.
Same range as with 1.7.
High kick after the first shot. (Instead of 20)
Dispersion between current AR and Breach AR
Duvolle DPS at 520 (Currently at 480) <--- Emphasis on ROF rather than damage
Why: Range the same as in 1.7 allows this weapon to be somewhat effective at longer ranges, just like the Rail Rifle will be somewhat effective at close range.
High kick after the first shot is there to force you into short bursts over ranges longer than 30m-40m
Dispersion between the current AR and Breach AR to solidify it further as CQC king. (Out of the AR's)
DPS increase is slight, to compensate for the massive reduction in effectiveness over range. In addition, I said emphasis on ROF because that means that those 3 shots inside a burst are less damaging, further hamppering it's effectiveness at range.
I agree on most points maybe the range should be lowered a bit (well or not raised to 1.7 values) other than that I could agree. |

To some extend you are right but would prefere a niche for every AR the Gallente Should be quite powerfull in CQC and IMHO the range buff it will get in 1.7 is not really needed.
Apart from that I highly doubt that the RR will be quite effective in CQC I am more worried about the CR and the AsCR/SCR I think the DPS on those weapons should be toned down a bit... |

It will be effective. 480 DPS (same as AR). And the only downside is the 0.2 charge up time, which is nothing. As you can see, it won't be quite as effective, but it will be effective. And again, do what I told you to do, 70m is not what you would expect.
Oh I check my distances all the time as I am a dedicated LR user so doing this is my bread and butter.
Regarding the Charge Up Time 0,2 seconds does not look like much but this will drop the DPS to somewhat around 380 for the first second and you can't burst fire to increase accuracy.
Well I do not like CCPs way of balancing high DPS numbers by some stupid gamemechanics as this is always vulnerable to glitches and bugs but I guess it could in theory work... |
