The Guristas are already involved seriously in Molden Heath. Just look at the publicly availible contracts.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

It's dangerous to assume that they don't have any method of killing us. It's easier than popping a wheelie on an LAV. DNA poisoning of the neural passages.
It just needs to be weaponized. And... No more immortals.

It just needs to be weaponized. And... No more immortals. Since our DNA isn't our own to begin with (we're normally imprinted on stock clones, remember), I have no idea how that would even work. They might have a killswitch set up to deactivate our implants, but that seems a little too easy to trigger accidentally or through third-party interference. Me, I'd write a computer virus to corrupt our consciousness transfer protocols and infect our systems with it. Scrambled is pretty indistinguishable from dead when it's an infomorph you're talking about. It is true that it would not keep our bodies from being cloned. Though, it would effectively end our consciousness or at the very least keep more memories from being formed, by keeping our brains from being scanned.
A virus is possible, though, there must exist several independent databases that would need to be infected individually.
Though we are both missing the Titan in the hangar; destroy the clone supply.

The Nation cannot be responsible for everything....I wouldn't be surprised if the Empires were heavily invested in Anti Immortal research. To permanently kill us "immortals" (a lame egotistical self description), it would be pretty easy.
Thing is, it requires all the Empires to want to do it, at the same time.
