THE MIGHTY GALLENTE LOGISTICS PROTO SUIT: (yes I know everyone thinks Gallente frames are the FOTM now, but ive been using this fit since the 1.0-1.1 respecs CCP gave us, so its not like im some sort of frontrunner or anything )
So my standard LGK0 fit is usually something like this:
Actual Suit Designation (fitting name): LG3 Nh,AS,NhR,DU/ASR3 230k
High slots (x3)
x3 Complex damage modifiers (for an overall boost of 26.4% Dmg boost)
Light Weapon Slot
Carthum Assault Scrambler rifle
Grenade slot
M1 Locus Grenade
Equipment slots (x4) (25% reduction to PG/CPU usage)
x1 Ishukone gauged nanohive x1 Active scanner x1 Wiyrkomi Triage nanohive x1 Imperial Flux drop uplink
Low Slots (x5)
x3 enhanced armor plates x2 basic armor plates
Total Shields: 94 Total armor: 755 Total EHP: 849 (respectively with my current skills)
Summary/Application
Alright so its obvious based off the low slots that this suit is not as fast as it could be. However That's okay though because of its role/niche and what its supposed to do. LG3/230k is meant for either point defense, or Heavy frontline support. The suit fills these roles well mostly because of the equipment it comes with.
1.) The proto gauged nanohives it comes with provides an armories worth of ammunition for any squad im supporting, regardless of weather or not the suit is being used in frontline action or point defense action.
2.) The proto Triage hives provide constant armor reps for whoever is within the protective bubbles. This allows for armor heavy squads to simply out-last opponents in that they can be getting up to 140 HP/s from my hives so long as their in range.
3.) The active scanner allows me to spot where the enemy is at all times, and while it might not be the best it is certainly good enough get the job done based off my current in-game experience.
4.) And finally we have the Imperial Flux Drop Uplinks. This is a fantastic uplink because of its -62.50% spawn time modifier (fastest in the game). This allows for rapid deployment of anyone who happens to somehow die during an engagement.
So right now you might have noticed the theme that three of the four equipment pieces carry. The theme in that all except the scanner are passive equipment. The hives and uplinks allow for me to lock down entire areas because 1.) we wont run out of ammo, 2.) its difficult to die with a 70-140hp/s armor rep, and 3.) reinforcements can drop in at less then 4 seconds after dying. Because all of this is passive equipment im able to keep my VERY high damage gun in the fight so long as im not scanning. But because scanning is only used when im not in a gun-fight it never really interferes with my combat effectiveness. Essentially I can singlehandedly set up a temporary base/camp whenever, and wherever I want so long as I don't die on the way there (which is unlikely thanks to a TON of alpha health).
Why its my favorite suit:
This suit costs me about 230k isk per suit, but this is balanced out because the suit allows for me to have a K/d of about 5, and with proper squad support the fit is nearly impossible to kill without something crazy happening like a 4v1 fight, or a random blast from a forge round. I am able to lock down objectives and beat normally overwhelming odds. I do 65.76 damage per shot to shields, and about 46 damage per shot to armor. So long as im in my protective triage bubble its nearly impossible for me to die from oncoming gunfire, and with my active scanner its difficult for the enemy to get the jump on me. Weaknesses to this suit include any and all explosive weaponry and lower mobility, but because of my experience with it ive gotten much better at positioning myself in ways where most explosives cant effectively hit me and I can compensate for the lack of mobility.
This suit is NOT the best support suit, but its certainly above average in that all of the modules/equipment have some sort of team support role in mind. My fitting allows me to be a beast in combat, and also give invaluable support to my team whenever it needs it. I know this suit is effective because I consistently get within top 3 in both Pub and PC matches, and while im still working on things to improve my play (ie: im working on hacking skills right now) This suit allows me to give my team much needed support whenever I can.
A brief history of how the suit came to fruition:
I choose to spec into the LGK0 at a time when everyone was running the CaLogi suit. Even as early as 1.0 I was aware that the CaLogi suit was likely going to get nerfed in the future just based off its raw stats. So instead of respeccing into the CaLogi suit, I decided to spec into the Gallente Logi because at the time EVERYONE THOUGHT armor tanking was impossible and completely useless. But Myself along with one other (fitznasty) thought differently. Using our collective efforts we were able to develop an armor tanking fitting that was a one of a kind BEAST of a suit. Back when I first got the suit it was nearly invincible. The only thing being able to kill it was grenades. This lead to further development and eventually it lead to the suit I have posted above which has equipment/modules that compliments each other.
Heres my original post about armor tanking all the way back when we got our first Respec. (again the suit is much different now, but the concept behind it is very much the same): https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1014329#post1014329
So yeah..... That's my favorite suit in a nutshell

I don't know who Castor is going to decide on giving the BPO's (considering its a tie right now) But may the better salesmen win And Castor, may I ask you for the rubric you used to grade us? So I know what I missed and could possibly add it just for completeness's sake? Well, an 11 would be perfect, pretty much. I'm not sure there's any one thing either of us could add.
Exactly, I just want to know what he would perceive as the "perfect" fit. And hello there fellow 10 pointer I read your fit, and It makes me jealous that I don't have gallente starter fits. But I might try to replicate that fit using the militia gallente gear in the market. It actually sounds pretty good. Normally I use a Laser rifle fit if im trying to make money. It costs 15k and is unbeatable at range. (because...... its a LR......).

It costs 15k and is unbeatable at range. (because...... its a LR......). I used to use the Laser Rifle a lot, too. I did well until 1.6, when the influx of Scramblers and the better hit detection made it hard to work with. I now use the TAR more, since it's more flexible. 65m range versus 65-85m range. Drop off is slow enough that I get kills out to 80m, without having to worry about the two wall drop offs on both ends of the Laser's optimal span. Amarr Sentinel with armor repairers a damage modifier and a TAR or ScrRifle and ScrPistol is a nice, durable fit with lots of recovery.
ill admit, the LR is DEFINITILY a circumstantial weapon. But that's why I got a normal assault fit too. One suit is meant for brawling close range, the other is meant for beaming long range, and use of either fit entirely depends on what map I happen to be playing on. As for corp battles, the suit I originally listed is what I almost exclusively use. Last night I was playing against Paradox one and went 28 - 7, and a few days ago we played against outer haven and I went 21 - 3. That is FANTASTIC for a corporation match, and im very pleased with how this suit performs right now. Of course, improvements can always be made, but im currently saving SP for other persuits that will hopefully lead to me unlocking a Fifth proto suit, and ultimately make me A LOT more flexible on the battlefield (think Super hacking speed right now).

????? That's awesome! In light of the giving spirit, ill send you back the 100 Million once I get the BPO code set. I know its not the 300 Million you were selling them for. But its at least something back, (considering you've given away close to a billion if not more).
