Frontline (Gallente Starter Fit)
Weapons: Assault Rifle/Mass Driver KLO-1 Scrambler Pistol M1 Locus Grenades Remote Explosives/Compact Nanohive
Highs: N/A
Lows: Militia Armor Plates (Starter BPO) Militia Armor Plates Militia Armor Plates
---
The suit and module choice:
This is my favourite fit at the moment for making ISK. Anyone can get it provided that they started Gallente. At standard level, the modules for high slots aren't that useful; shield extenders only add 22 health and damage mods only add 3% damage, less after stacking penalties. On the other hand, while high slot modules exponentially become more useful as you move up, meaning you need to upgrade, armor plates are cheap and effective. Gallente starter fits have 3 low slots for a lot of health, which is great, without sacrificing as much speed as the Amarr.
The stats:
By default, this set has 120 shields and 465 armor. With Dropsuit Shield Upgrades, Dropsuit Armor Upgrades and Armor Plating 5 you have 150 shields and 541 armor, for a total of 691 health, shockingly close to 700. This is higher than any other starter fit with all health mods, including the Amarr, which only hits 543 total health.
The weapons:
This set is made to be as effective at killing enemy prototypes with burst damage as possible.
The Assault Rifle is mostly used to pick off enemies beyond Scrambler Pistol range that aren't aware you're there, although if you have a health advantage it's possible to just power through a lot of enemies, especially ones that aren't protos. It's easy to swap it out for any other standard weapon, for any role you want. I use a normal Sniper Rifle for counter sniping and a normal Mass Driver as a finisher and for flanking groups of enemies.
The Scrambler Pistol is on this set because of both its normal DPS and headshot DPS. It's headshot DPS is the highest DPS in the game and its normal DPS is head and shoulders above SMGs and even assault rifles. The KLO-1 was chosen, despite it's higher price, due to the combined RoF and DMG boost increasing its DPS substantially; the Assault variant can be used to push it higher, but cuts into your earnings even more.
KLO-1 DPS to the body, proficiency 5: 84 * 1.15 * 444.44 / 60 = 715
For reference, a Duvolle with proficiency 5 and 2 Complex Damage Modifiers does 640; this requires no damage modifiers and is practically free. Even without proficiency, your damage is around equal. Now, because of the 375% damage to the head, you can deal 362 damage with every headshot (435 to shields).
KLO-1 DPS to the head, proficiency 5: 315 * 1.15 * 444.44 / 60 = 2683
Yes, that is correct! The Duvolle with Proficiency 5 and 2 Complex Damage Modifiers deals 960 DPS to the head and you deal almost 2700! Now, against shield tankers this is almost 3240 DPS! The Scrambler Pistol does more damage per second than every gun with any amount of modifiers in the game! If your aim is good, you'll be laying them down, all the way up to 20m. However, your effective range ends at about 50m, at which point your DPS is still around 800, so you can still shred enemies that are slow or that stop moving momentarily!
Now, the Scrambler Pistol's main problem is AMMO. This is why I cannot stress the importance of Operation 5 enough, as it brings your clip size up to 11. At this point, you have 924 damage in your clip, 1062 with proficiency. This is enough to kill most targets as long as you remain accurate, but fully tanked protos and heavies will withstand the barrage. Always go for headshots, unless the target is weak! Increasing your ammunition skill gives you 2 extra bullets a level and almost a full clip at level 5. Nanohives and Depots are your friend, as are Logibro healers.
Whatever Light weapon you take with you should be able to finish off a weakened target in CQC. Mass Drivers and Assault Rifles are very good at this.
The M1 Locus Grenades were chosen over the standard Locus Grenades due to the 25% damage buff and 10% range buff for a low price. They are well worth it and learning how to cook a grenade will save your life. If you know where the enemy is, cook a grenade for a couple of seconds and throw it at a wall so that it bounces towards them, then enjoy massive damage. Tanked protos can survive an M1, but a few pistol shots or mass driver rounds will finish them off.
The Remote Explosives were chosen for their sheer killing power. A standard Remote Explosive can OHKO most any suit in the game, except maybe the most ridiculously tanked Heavy. Place them around a corner and hit the trigger as the target moves into range. As a starter fit, many enemies will be extremely aggressive and chase you, so use this to your advantage. Shoot at them a few times with your pistol and take a few shots as you round the corner, set the explosives and detonate them as they come to kill you.
Alternatively, a Compact Nanohive can fully repair you and/or restore your ammo once. You can restock them at depots by swapping to a different starter fit and back, too.
The cost:
The whole fitting costs 7895 ISK, with a light weapon of your choice. If you don't need the DPS of the KLO-1, the Gallente starter fit comes with a militia Scrambler Pistol in the sidearm slot. Using this brings the suit cost down to 4995 ISK, which is under the 5k mark that some consider to be a valid cheap ass fitting.
TL:DR; The Gallente Starter Fit Special Deluxe Extreme can deal over 3000 DPS to people's heads, and instantly kill people with all sorts of explosives! It also has the highest total HP of any starter fit, at just below 700! All this for only seventy eight NINETY FIVE! Call today and get 2 for the price of 3! What a steal!
(I put too much effort into this. )

These are divided into two areas; what I thought about the fit and how you sold it. It was possible to earn 5 points in each of those two categories: 1=meh 2=standard 3=good 4=excellent 5=perfect I also took the liberty to award one extra point for style. Either your fit or your post was inspirational, hilarious or just had something to it, you know? Up there you can see that nobody got more than 10 points. That basically means I didn't come across a "perfect" fitting. But that's the point, isn't it? Always in search for that little bit extra :) There were two people getting 10 points and nine who got 9 points. After I can see straight again I will harshly judge who will get the top 3 prices. But what do I mean by "top 3 prices"? Aren't there only 3 prices in total? Now that's the interesting part: I must have somehow forgotten to mention that each and everyone of you will be rewarded The three prices I announced in my Opening Post to this thread are only half the deal. On top of that everyone of you will get the points he made in DUST ISK x 1.000.000 487 points were awarded in total.
Wow, I actually got one of the 10s! A lot of people with a lot of good fits have posted in this thread, and I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside right now.
Also, that is a ton of ISK to give out, wow. It would take me hundreds of hours of pure grinding, excluding PC, to earn enough to cover this event.

The OP will be reordering the list, then going through and picking who gets what. He's given points to everyone already, though.

I don't know who Castor is going to decide on giving the BPO's (considering its a tie right now) But may the better salesmen win And Castor, may I ask you for the rubric you used to grade us? So I know what I missed and could possibly add it just for completeness's sake?
Well, an 11 would be perfect, pretty much. I'm not sure there's any one thing either of us could add.

Exactly, I just want to know what he would perceive as the "perfect" fit. And hello there fellow 10 pointer I read your fit, and It makes me jealous that I don't have gallente starter fits. But I might try to replicate that fit using the militia gallente gear in the market. It actually sounds pretty good. Normally I use a Laser rifle fit if im trying to make money. It costs 15k and is unbeatable at range. (because...... its a LR......).
I used to use the Laser Rifle a lot, too. I did well until 1.6, when the influx of Scramblers and the better hit detection made it hard to work with. I now use the TAR more, since it's more flexible. 65m range versus 65-85m range. Drop off is slow enough that I get kills out to 80m, without having to worry about the two wall drop offs on both ends of the Laser's optimal span. Amarr Sentinel with armor repairers a damage modifier and a TAR or ScrRifle and ScrPistol is a nice, durable fit with lots of recovery.

In light of the giving spirit, ill send you back the 100 Million once I get the BPO code set. I know its not the 300 Million you were selling them for. But its at least something back, (considering you've given away close to a billion if not more).
That's nice. I would too, but the sad truth is, I was going broke before this event, haha.
