The theory of relativity states that matter cannot travel through space FASTER than the speed of light. Going the speed of light is not going faster, so, therefore, technically, humans could, theoretically go as fast as a photon. A black hole has gravity so powerful that nothing, not even light, with it's infinite momentum, can escape. The point of no return is called the event horizon and, as I said, it is the point at which no object can escape.
About subatomic particles, you cannot use the same laws of physics as with the atomic or visual world. You get into quantum physics, and quantum mechanics.
And all of this goes out the window if you throw in chaos theory.

Again, it IS possible to have infinite energy... in theory. But in theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is. In order to get anywhere near infinite energy, you'd need... something that doesn't really exist... not in a form we can use: dark matter. That being said, the top theory on photons is no mass.
