Because photons are matter and have mass. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I'm sure if you had a precise enough instrument, you could measure the "recoil" of turning a flashlight on.

Isn't the reason that photons can travel at the speed of light is because they have no mass?
Beats me bro, I'm not Michio Kaku XD
All I know is that subatomic particles do some weird stuff and seem to break the laws of physics you may be right though *shrugs shoulders*

Then again though if a photon doesn't have mass, how do black holes suck up light via gravity? You need objects with mass to exert and feel the force of gravity no?

Ah I knew that *hits self in head*
I forgot that gravity is a curvature of spacetime and that the reason things "fall" into a black hole is because the curvature literally places the black hole into its future...it's inevitable because it lays directly into the objects future timeline.

I know Its for balancing but it makes no sense. How dose a beam of light have recoil?
Is there some sort of science or story behind it that i'm too dumb to figure out?
*Sorry, no QQ range rant today.* its a beam of neutrons.
And neutrons definitely have mass so therefore recoil!
PROBLEM SOLVED ^_^
