I was once a slave, victim to the Vitoc method. I only remember a few things from the day I was freed. On a Amarrian freighter, I had been checking that all the cargo in my section was intact, and accounted for. There was an explosion further down in the Cargo bay, and I quickly grabbed on to a nearby railing. Luckly the breech was quickly sealed by a container. An announcement went over the intercom reporting we had been disabled and for all available personal to arm themselves and be prepared to be boarded. Of course most people would think I saw this as my chance for freedom. However without the steady injections of the antidote I would never survive.
I ran through the different areas of the ship until I made it to a security room. I grabbed a scrambler pistol and bolted towards a fellow slave whose name I cannot say. We were just numbers to our owner, and he was 7. He quickly tried to convince me that now was our chance. He told me that he had received a transmission from the other ship and that it was Gallente. We could grab as much of the antidote as possible and join the other slaves he had contacted in the cargo hold. I saw the reason for this but I also knew that the virus would change and the antidote would fail. I decided it was worth the risk, now more than ever we had a chance. Who knows maybe the Gallente have a cure.
As we got down to the cargo hold some of the others had already gotten a few packs full of the antidote. All we needed to do was wait for the Gallente soldiers to meet us there. A few of the Security personal on the ship came down to the Cargo hold to check the breech. We tried to hide at first, but soon one of our own made a noise and a firefight ensued. 7 was killed during the fight and only two others survived. 9 and 13 had been on top of a container and hid during the entire fight. They could have helped, and saved a few more of us but they were cowards.
Soon a man appeared behind me in a black light framed suit with a shotgun in his hand and an assault rifle on his back. He told me to turn around slowly and as I did, he said I had fought well. Then everything went black...
I awoke in a concrete rectangular room with one light hanging from the ceiling that was so dull it barely lit the room. Suddenly I realize I can't move, I can't feel anything. I scream out for help but there was no one to hear me. Then I passed out again...

For all of you that are putting in your thoughts... this is an ongoing story. I know how it goes but I must write it. Do not assume you know the ending, you might be surprised.
However feel free to post how you think the story will end. Will I be saved by Blasto the 1st Hannar Spectre? Do I learn how to use the force? Am I actually a Jovian testing out the top of the line weapons of the four major factions in the human realms, and feeding my people information on how to best disable or destroy anything we use against them? All possible but highly unlikely, but that's for me to decide and you to find out. |

This is why I'm not a writer. I get just that little bit in Part 1 & 2 then lose inspiration to finish the story.
