Only the best profited; there were about 20 of us back then and everyone knew who we were. People would spawn with swarm launchers ready. it was glorious
I still remember seeing gunlogis with 7500 HP AND a shield booster of madrugars with well over 15000 EHP while reppers were on. yup. Tanks were tanks. Then the ARs nerfed us.
1.7- we will be making a return. 15000 EHP is coming back. Madrugars will be able to take 12 shots from swarm launchers. with hardeners on. Gunlogis, about 8. Glass cannons won't be hitting with 5000dmg, but a little less than 3000, so not terrible at all. Once again, nothing will hit harder than a tank turret :D Not even a yolo nade ;)
And you guys thought nothing was wrong with your tanks back then?, sounds like the Tank did all the heavy lifting for you. Now that tanks are UP instead of OP you flail about for a bit then explode in a fireball. Actual good players can make UP stuff work, they dont need it to be OP to be efficient.

Actual good players can make UP stuff work, they dont need it to be OP to be efficient. actually, it wasn't easy. there were hundreds of people with HAV skills, but only about 20 of us were responsible for going 30:0 in every battle, so no, it wasn't the HAV doing all the work (unlike the AR).
Being only vulnerable against 10% of the weapon on the field must have been really dangerous, ive seen many Tank Vids from the "GOOD" players and they have the situational awareness of a fish.
Like oh look theres a player, right over there .....tank driver drives on ....its like right there dude ....Tank Driver awesome reflexes kick in "OMGZ how did he get that close to me, starts spraying & praying ...laughing widly as his tank cannon only needs to hit Once or Twice to get the kill and manages to miss said target for a whole of 3-4 seconds, while having unlimited ammo"
Yeah ...thats allot of sweet skills they got there...its like most heavy players, they are in that suit for a reason, so they at least get to act surprised when they get nailed by someone with 0.16 ms reaction times.
And then there are the Heavies sitting in a tank ....as if the 10k ehp isnt already enough...
Tanks need to require at most 1 person trying to activly counter the vehicle otherwise its OP, say if CCP allowed 16 tanks on the field and it requires 6 of us to counter one tank, we would need 96 people working together, unless you want vehicles to have a more anti-vehicle role, but then vehicles need to deal allot less damage to infantry.
I just ignore tanks, the chance they get to kill me is awfully low, with a mobility setup suit and their exxcellent aim + some cover = getaway for free card anyways.
