I'm giving the Devs the benefit of the doubt. That the divide in HAVs from low-end to high-end will be tightened and a better balance against infantry will be achieved. Then again I also thought the change to the HMG skill was going to improve accuracy making it better and wasn't a pointless nerf. and you are wrong...the reason this happened is because almost everyone wasa slayer back then with very few specializing as av masters...but for those of us that were av masters we did not want nor did we feel that tanks needed a nerf..soon come the days where the real av can be proud for destroying a tanker...where soloing a tank actually means something..i may actually go back to using my real av post 1.7
it is not slayers place to deal with havs it is ours the guardians soon av tanking teams will be valid and everything will change.
soon guardians and marauders will be back in full force and all the ar scrubs and continue their whine about how they cant destroy everything in dust with they're slayer fit. meanwhile those of us that has proto av and never get to use it because whats the point really will finally have meaning and SKILL brought back to our spec...
the role of guardian/sentinel has become to easy..where it used to require skill it now just requires skill points...i am really looking forward to balance being brought back to av/vehicles..soon the depth of dust will become even more...blue dots dont even understand how much depth to battles in dust has been lost due to underpowered vehicles. |

Only the best profited; there were about 20 of us back then and everyone knew who we were. People would spawn with swarm launchers ready. it was glorious
I still remember seeing gunlogis with 7500 HP AND a shield booster of madrugars with well over 15000 EHP while reppers were on. yup. Tanks were tanks. Then the ARs nerfed us.
1.7- we will be making a return. 15000 EHP is coming back. Madrugars will be able to take 12 shots from swarm launchers. with hardeners on. Gunlogis, about 8. Glass cannons won't be hitting with 5000dmg, but a little less than 3000, so not terrible at all. Once again, nothing will hit harder than a tank turret :D Not even a yolo nade ;) Another tanker thinking that they should be godlike and invincible while being the only viable counter to it's class. *Sigh* I wonder how many tanks will be on the field now. I expect a "team-quota has been reached" every match. But thanks for proving my point. Some idiots refused to believe that tank pilots want to be "god mode" and the only viable counter to it's own class.

Now that tanks are UP instead of OP you flail about for a bit then explode in a fireball. Actual good players can make UP stuff work, they dont need it to be OP to be efficient. actually, it wasn't easy. there were hundreds of people with HAV skills, but only about 20 of us were responsible for going 30:0 in every battle, so no, it wasn't the HAV doing all the work (unlike the AR). lol 30/0 lets say 67/0 :D with the proper guardians and no one to stop us woe to the infantry ...although now maps are built to where for the most part blue dots have area in accessible by vehicles ..because of the maps now it will be different more separate...dust is like this
there are 2 battles going in every match ..infantry vs infantry and av /vs vehicle ...now while vehicles are currently crippled there effect is not noticeable ...but soon tankers will carry bombarding teams to outer objectives sniper immune ..:) im real excited for tanks to be back |
