Well we already have passive dampers that counter the active scanner, albeit on a player by player level. Were you thinking a deployable that disrupts scanning within some area?

I'd rather have scanner hacker, where you use the hacker actively for a specific amount of time(based on lvl; proto and such). The scanner hack will confuse any active scanner used for a given amount of time, the active scanner will mark friendlies as red and vice versa. This will be very useful for the future changes to factional warfare.
Now I'm not saying I'm a badass, but once I killed a guy in militia gear. We were both wearing it but still.

Mmm, thats a delicious idea. There have been lots of ideas for future EWAR gameplay, but it usually involves denying the enemy some sort of information (voice chat, hud markers, etc). Actively changing what they see, turning blue markers red...
