 Changing it to Booster an Amount of SP
Active Boosters are currently time based which often throws players off, activate it at the right now and you can boost 2 weeks of cap, activate it after you already capped? you just screwed yourself up.
It would be easier if the Active Booster would just boost a certain amount of SP. For example,
- 1 Day Booster = 30,000 SP
- 3 Day Booster = 90,000 SP
- 7 Day Booster = 210,000 SP
- 30 Day Booster = 900,000 SP
Yes they are round numbers (cuz they look pretty) instead of matching the weekly cap or anything but they are close to what the current numbers are. This type of booster would work better if the SP system was ever changed to have banked/roll-over SP as it could not be abused.
These booster will also increase players satisfaction with buying booster as they know what they will get for certain and are not troubled by the weekly cap or having to use it in xx time frame. Like the BPOs, players want to feel good in their investment.
Adding Additional Effects or Variations
Want to sell more boosters? make people want them. For me, I want to see booster have an acceleration effect where I get my SP faster, thus a benefit of buying these boosters. I don't like buying boosters that just give me more SP for spending the same amount of time in game, I want to spend a bit less and obviously want to pay for that time saving feature . This goes great with the change to how they work. If I have 2 mill SP banked, if the booster is giving me more SP and I'm gaining SP faster, then I'm going to run out of boost faster and will need to buy another.

chatting with Kane Spero on the matter too. The whole banked SP combine with SP limited Boosters is sounding pretty good. Turn the time based booster into a subscription with some additional benefits like gaining SP at a faster rate and you have SP 2.0 system.
