Then it would go into a pool where any other corp could accept the contract. This needs to be reimplemented for a couple of reasons. The main point being this will help corps learn the ropes of organizing and and deploying full teams, tactics on the battlefield, as well as much more. It would also take away the hazards of losing a district if you lost, meaning all you are out is some isk.
This was one of the biggest mistakes of Uprising. If corps had been doing team deploy battles since May, PC would be a much more interesting place.
Remove time in battle from ISK payout formula and provide a bonus to winning team... Watch battles become fun again.

If corps had been doing team deploy battles since May, PC would be a much more interesting place. exactly. Instead of having new to 16v16 corps, you would have teams that are ready to fight together and hopefully know their role in battle. It would also give field commanders more experience with the maps and be able to develop strategies easier and faster, more "on-the-fly." Nothing is more valuable than EXP when it comes to full team battles so they should have an area where people can train.
It's so obvious. I wish they'd at least acknowledge that people want this back. If it's got to be on the back burner, fine.
But it's holding the game back in my opinion.

People would be willing to fight for districts if they felt ready to do so. There are a LOT of people who ignore PC altogether.
Pubs don't prepare you for PC. You have to be able to develop that teamwork. Corp battles would also allow players not yet on PC teams to train for PC while they accrue SP for suits/gear.
Being able to train would help not hurt PC.
