Yes, The majority of FPS players could care less about a lot of these things. But, someday, when there is a profitable reason for eve player's to turn their eyes toward dust. Eve players will sink their fingers into everything Dust is and exploit every access point it allows. In it's current state, we are lambs to the slaughter.

This is exactly why I refuse to join a corp and I play for the default corp given to players when they first start the game. I mean, really taxes, confusing red tape, corporate backstabbing, and politics become too much and take out all the fun for most casual gamers. This is what is in part why the player base has declined. Perhaps it is great for eve, but Dust is a shooter game. Perhaps if people want to become so involved in such things they should run for office in real life and worry about taxes and politics in their own backyard.

Gamers/Shooters, just want to capture objectives and kill hostiles. This is where Dust fails and loses its player base. I have over a million wp, 10's of millions of isk, and 15K confirmed kills. I play to be social w/ my friends and hope that the game continues, I like the large skill trees, specialization, friends, and battles when they work correctly. I dislike being questioned about my corp status by squad members who are new in meeting me, but its ok. I play for fun my way w/ my friends and I leave taxes, red tape, and corp decisions for those who want to be politicians. I'll just shoot red dots, cap objectives, and put all isk gained into my own pocket. If my friends need it i'll give it, but i'll not be forced into politics, paying for someone else's suits, ships, or conquests.

Also, I write this next question with tongue and cheek in mind, but really when did mercenaries become involved in paying taxes for protection to fight for some ego maniacs corp and what mercenaries care about politics? This merc says bs to both. Pay me to fight, and I'll choose if I want to accept the contract.
