Campfire on a recon mission sounds a little unrealistic, and everyone who would participate in this would have to bind their characters IC to this for a long time and make it a part of their history.)) ((Ever tell a fictitious story? Same deal, the story doesn't need to be about you.))

Aztec sat on a compact chair, he was roasting weenies over the fire. The one on the end of the tubular fork caught fire at the tip, he blew it out and took a bite. ~Except their is no artillery and the fire isn't fueled by dead bodies.~
Aztec crossed his legs and put his arms on his knees. His Navy blue cloak hid everything when he stood, but now his armor was visible. It was a white Caldari suit with red trimming. He wore no mask, just red talent glasses.
He started "During a mission.in Amarr space I was assigned to capture a Terran artifact. It was believed to be in the hands of an Amarrian military base that also served as a trading post and research center. It was on the outer rim. The site was soon to be besieged by Minmatar militants. They wanted to free more than 7.5 thousand slaves who had been evacuated from a recently turned planet. I told them that I was sent by the Federation to help them. It was a lie, all of it, I was never there to help them.
There commander, Elias I think, thought much of me. We went in, it was a suicide mission. There had been lots of planning but when it came right down to it, we looked past it, we went too loud to fast. They were mauled quickly by the outer defenses, but me, Elias and a small group of not even a dozen men made it past the fire.
We hugged the wall and opened a high vent. It made noise and a guard noticed us, Elias shot him dead in the head twice, but that made even more noise. We heard the explosion of boots and the howls of the hounds. Both me and Elias had been on the shoulders of his men, grabbing on to the vent. The men under us were shot immediately, the dogs moved in to finish the job. The guards raced closer, they had yet to see us dangling.
Elias told me to go, to finish the mission. Free his people. I told him why not both of us. He opened his vest to show 2 blood red spots on his shirt. He gave me the digital pass. His last words were, "Do it for me, my people. Free my family, my wife, my daughter.". He let go, falling on a guard. He clicked a detonator and christened the night with a blinding mixrure of light and sound.
I finished the mission... My mission. I never hesitated to abandon the Slaves, there was never any doubt. There is now.
I am haunted by the trust I was shown, by the trust I turned my back on. Dreams I left die."
