Were you suggesting that an "extended clip" actually changed the overall DPS and functionality of the gun somehow? Or were you trying to say the weapon was Standard level, but couldn't figure out how to write such a simple concept?
Do putting clown faces on your posts make you feel more ferocious or something?
Edit: I also notice that this is your FIRST post on these forums and already you're making baseless accusations about experience. He caught you being a newbie, just take the fall like a man and learn from the experience. |

Dovallis Martan JenusKoll wrote:So in other words you're claiming you could recite every BPO, their stats, and relative Equipment levels without looking at an information list? Or are you just saying that because he's your alt, and you're trying to make it's ranting look better? ~~~ telling a 7 year EVE veteran he doesn't know how to handle stat comparisons ~~~
Rei Shepard wrote:I really dont get it why CCP is so up in the BPO removal rage, when the equipment is Standard and saves the guy 1-2k isk while the payout is 200-400k isk. As always, it's all about sinks and faucets.
While normal equipment bought on the market are ISK sinks, BPO's act as ISK faucets instead of being just 'free'. This is due to the ISK reward being based on the cost of the enemy equipment destroyed and BPO derived items have an actual price. |

Hell, it's basically how most MIL differ from STD; same stats except more ammo and less fitting, and the odd equipment-specific stat. |

Rei Shepard wrote:You only get a percentage of the ISK destroyed part so even if you kill 40 people in BPO fits is still being negated by killing one guy in his 200+k proto suit.
the only reason ccp wants to ditch the BPO's is because selling depletable copies of suits like the new packs is much more profitable to them, first of all a person can only use 2-3 suits of the pack anyways and it helps suckering the poor guy into spending points to use the other suits aswell in his 2700 total suit pack.
I mean if everyone ran Disposable 99 euro AUR suits sets, thats not going to be an ISK Faucet ? Oh wait ....it is .......and those suits are of a higher value then the BPO ones (advanced and some proto)....
When they make money, they dont seem to think a whole lot about the economy do they ? Same with the BPO's, let us all grab the BPO's because hey ..YOU CAN SELL THEM AFTERWARDS WHEN THE MARKET OPENS UP!!!!!!!!!!
Now it looks like they are gonna be LOOSING money over people selling their BPO's ...and instantly its an issue ....
I rest my case... Don't rest too much, cause you're arguing with someone who's been doing speculative investment in EVE for years in the range of a few hundred billion ISK. This is something I've studied for quite a while, and do take notes when CCP says things...
They did run the numbers and found that BPO items (which includes militia versions) were an issue. And yes, they do think a lot about the economy. Over the years they have thanks to hiring a real economist produced tools to do highly detailed analysis of the in-game economies in EVE, and they have a guy responsible for maintaining the health of the DUST economy.
AUR suits is what one would have to consider a necessary faucet, one we just have to live with.
Now the proto suit example; if one guy dies for every 40 BPO fitted, that still means you have one guy running in proto and half a dozen running around being faucets instead of sinks. This means that those players are lost as potential sinks.
Also; I drop around 3-4 STD BPO LAVs... That's got to be a rather nice faucet. |

Judging by the way you assumed all BPO's would be standard level... ... Are you seeing a pattern in the BPO's now? Aside from the few that are STD such as the sniper BPO and the LAV BPOs that were $50 each, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet to assume any BPO you encounter is Milita grade. I went back and highlighted where I said BPO in the above post.
See it? Perhaps you need some reading glasses? Or new brain. |
