Once the combat and rail rifle come out, the problem with the GaLogi might "fix itself." It's pretty much a repeat of the CaLogi situation except it's armor > shields and the GaLogi doesn't have insanely high CPU/PG.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I went into ScR pistols and SMGs in preparation of a logi-wide sidearm restriction that (thankfully) never came. Been dumping SP into Minmatar assault on my main and should have my Mk.0 before Thanksgiving. Tried it on a 15m SP alt, and it's way different than my logi and better in certain areas. Extra sidearm clip size opens some more options like starting ambushes with swarm launchers and battle sniping in skirmish. Still love my logi, but it's not better than an assault, just different.

Logi can't get 100 rounds on an Ishukone SMG.

Still does not make the suit equal to the logi.Any other reason you can think of, the logi has the slots and CPU-PG to out-do the assault...
You need to stop staring at spread sheets. Both suits are viable in an FPS. No more, no less. God forbid anything but an assault being able to get kills.

I've said my peace about logis v assaults for 6 months. CCP already corrected the problem with CaLogi which overpowered every suit in the game short of heavies (Wish they changed it to 5H/3L/4E at proto, but whatever) and gave the Amarr a needed buff. There's been nothing about logis since then outside of them working on the bonus tagging system to eliminate useless blanket bonuses. I could argue over this for hours, but why bother? You're set in your own (borderline partial) opinions, so there's no point in trying to change your minds. This is just going to be another dead logi topic in the next couple of days and the cycle starts over again without a blue tag. Only difference is I'll have a Mk.0 Logi and assault for different situations. In fact, I'll probably be using the assault more until CCP sorts out the CoD level TTK since it's much cheaper to fit. And you know what? I won't lose any sleep because I'm confident that CCP isn't going to give into knee-jerk reactions and forum QQing. Good luck on your endeavors because you're going to need a better case.

^This is one of the core problems. Aside from saving ISK and the off chance that you're going to take advantage of racial bonuses, the assaults are just redundant compared to what you get for a logi suit. Not really the logistics' fault, just bad design compared to an earlier build like Chromosome, where different suits had better stats and/or variants. Assaults should have higher base stats than even medium suits for starters, increase base shield recharge rate by 25%, even with the current blanket bonus, (until they can fix the tagging system) or just change it to "CPU/PG fitting reduction on all weapons and weapon mods." I really have a felling that if we didn't have basic suits, and the CaLogi was more balanced out the gate, we wouldn't be having these debates.
