This is the hook, a players first impression of the game. It needs to be awesome.
CCP, here's a cool cinematic I just thought of that you can feel free to animate....
OPENING
The screen is black except for what looks like dust particles blowing across the screen. A very low-pitched orchestral instrument such as a cello can be heard. Camera zoom reveals the dust particles to in fact be tiny nanites joining together. As the camera zooms out, we see a massive number of nanites forming into a single bullet, then we see hundreds of bullets being completed in perfect unison. The tempo of the music picks up.
Just as we see that we have been watching a large magazine of bullets assemble itself, the sound of music is suddenly overpowered by the roar of a fierce battle. A Heavy standing next to a nanohive atop a pile of burning rubble loads the aforementioned magazine into his HMG and begins ruthless mowing down his enemies.
A sniper from a rooftop attempts a futile shot to bring down the Heavy. The bullet ricochets off the heavy with no effect, the sniper is in turn annihilated by the Heavy. The Heavy continues his rampage, when suddenly a low-flying assault dropship screams over his head searching for enemies. The dropship climbs along side the roof of a nearby rooftop, behind an unsuspecting sniper. The sniper hears the dropship behind him, and slowly turns around to look at it. The cowardly sniper drops his gun in terror and cringes in fear like a child, before the dropship railgun operators charges a shot, and blasts his body into pieces.
Down on the ground level of the same building, a scout equipped with Nova Knives is stalking his prey... The scout is using expert stealth and agility to stay out of sight. The prey turns out to be a sniper searching for the perfect hiding place, away from any danger, or battlefield responsibility. While running, the sniper suddenly stops, and turns around, paranoid and fearful, believing he heard something. The sniper raises his gun, and looks through his infrared scope, scanning the rubble for any sign of a potential enemy stalking him. After a brief moment, all appears to be clear, the sniper turns around and tries to continue searching for some hole to hide in, but impales himself on the Knife of the scout. The sniper slowly slumps to the ground in a bloody heap. Just to be sure, the scout grabs the sniper by the head, and violently decapitates him.
As the scout holds the severed head of some sniper high into the sky as a trophy, the camera view starts climbing skyward, looking down on the battle as it climbs. The battle turns out to be massive, but gets quieter as the camera climbs higher and higher. Suddenly we can hear the music from the first scene again, but instead of an orchestra, it's heavy metal guitars playing the same tune.
The camera climbs into space, where a super massive fleet can be seen in orbit above the planet. And the cinematic ends
Total Time - 3 Minutes or so.
Think about it CCP, first impressions mean a lot!
Who cares what some sniper has to say
