I cant stress enough how important ambush tactics are in a scout suit especially if you plan to use knives or a shotgun And never think just because they saw you running to the side they forgot about you, if they see you at all loop around the long way and get behind them Oh and make use of your mobility, it might not seem likes its a huge difference but you can make jumps the other frames cant so use that to slip around and attack from an unexpected angle, granted though this is mostly useful on the newer installations and in limited areas, it something that really needs to be expanded on rather than the whole "We want to be invisible and have tons of health" a lot of scouts whine for
Im not drunk, the planet just happens to be especially wobbly today.

Quick tips: 1. You are harder to spot on radar than anyone else. Use this to your advantage and flank a lot. 2. If someone spots you, don't be afraid to run away. You have the survivability of wet tissue paper. 3. Try picking off people who are away from the main group to decrease your odds of being spotted. 4. Being a scout is all about OUTSMARTING your opposition. Learn the way everyone else thinks, and find a way to use that against them. 5. If you plan on taking or guarding an objective in Skirmish, aim for one that is far away from the action and not heavily guarded. Scouts aren't made for direct combat but can be very useful in guarding an objective if no one knows you're there before they start hacking

As for knifing, feel free to get a hold of me in-game, although I would suggest someone with more experience, such as Sinboto Simmons, or you could try joining R 0 N 1 N, a corporation that helps newer players train one-on-one. Good luck, mercenary o7

Valzy 59 wrote:Most the time i like to get in meele range so gallente or Minmatar Also Can somone give me tips for using this suit? (Sorry for bad english) DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT engage AR or Scrambler rifle users head on. this will lead to certain demise 99% of the time.
the blueberry is your best friend. well not really, but they provide excellent distraction which give you enough time to flank, do your job, and get out.
don't play the opponents game. if you find yourself losing a fight against a pesky AR user, then switch your strategy. dont just walk forward trying to shotgun the while they backpedal with their AR.
you honestly don't need a scanner. rarely do i use a scanner and i do great almost every match. it is good but you can use that slot for something like a Nanohive or remote explosive.
master your trade. don't expect to just own with the scout on day 1. those of us who do really well with the scout all the time have been practicing for months. dont expect great results the first day.
join the crowd. if your Shotgun fails you, then it always good to keep a grenade on hand. they can literally be the decider of life or death. personally, if my Shotgun fails, then your ass WILL get blown up. end of story. some people will call you a grenade spammer, but dont mind these people. they are usually just (you guessed it) AR scrubs who get mad that something killed them and their precious AR. Welcome to Core Locus Grenade 514. its a shame, but there aren't many ways to combat an AR especially with a scout.
last but not least, contact a scout teacher. there are some good scouts that will be more than happy to teach you.
if you ever want me to help, then just mail me in game and i'll be glad to show you the ropes.

It sounds like you're assuming that because the suit exists in the game the developers have designed a use case for it.

Don't bother with scout suits, i mean you gotta get your dampeners and everything level 5 in core upgrades and that cost about 5 mil to get all of it which is ridiculous. Take a med frame and it'll take away you're problems.

Run free suits until you've saved up enough SP to put them in kinetic catalyzers and max out your dampener skills. Otherwise, prepare to lose a lot of isk if you're going to be a try hard. |

posted this in our forum thread as well for you.
as a scout, melee range is where you are most effective, but you have to use the right weapon for close quarters combat ( CQC)
usually a shotgun or nova knives are your best friend.
I also recommend training biotics to V and fitting as many kin cats as you can, because speed is your best friend since your suit is paper thin.

Listen to Tranquil and Aseair, they know their stuff. Nades and shotguns are very reliable to the scouts, you could even take advantage of the profile dampener and go sniper, i find that only other snipers ever find me, there are few occassions but those are people who know what they are doing and know where to look. But if you like close combat do what you love, and go with knives, shotguns and nades.
In this war, a danger there is, of losing who we are.

Don't bother with kin cats or dampeners. In this new build, a militia AR will insta kill you. I personally use 1 complex shield, 2 basic armor plates, a K5 Specialist Shotgun (reduced PG/CPU requirements), and a toxin SMG (basic smg). A compact nanohive might be useful, but I can't fit it on my suit. Use a shotgun because Nova Knives are broken. And hide if you see a swarm of enemies, then flank all of them if you can.

take some time and read the Scout registry page
being a low SP scout is gonna be the hardest path you could choose but stick with it
make sure to ask around before dumping your skill points into skills
make sure to get into the Scouts united chat channel and look for a squad
send in a corp application to R 0 N 1 N explaining your situation that you are looking for mentoring

Welcome to the meat grinder. o7
Lots of good advice. It's a hard path. There's a lot of bitter scouts out there. Rightfully so. A low SP scout life is going to be very difficult. You are going to die and die a lot. The margin for error is as close to ZERO as you're going to get. Situational awareness, knowing when to engage/disengage, and move around the map are going to be the most important things for you to learn. The better you know the maps the better scout you will be.
Some good advice: Run away. Run far far away.... then circle around and stab them in the back.
Oh and get biotics up to V. Pronto Tonto.
Check out & sub my youtube. Yay!
