I'd love for players to have more control over our chat channels.
Here's a few suggestions for CPP:
- Give us the ability to have more channels open at once without it freezing the game. I believe we can have up to 10 open right now without the game freezing. Once you have your corp, alliance, team, squad, friends of corp channels open, it doesn't leave much room for other chat channels. Even doubling the number up to 20 would be a big help.
- Separate 'create' from 'join' when adding a chat channel. Right now we don't know if we're creating a channel or joining an existing one. This can create problems over chat channel ownership.
- The person who creates a channel should have more control over that channel. For example: privacy settings (public, private, etc.); who can join settings (all welcome, needs approval, etc.); the ability to remove players from the channel (for inappropriate behaviour, spamming, etc.); the ability to have secondary admin people who can also control the channel; and the ability to close a channel, not just leave it.
Those are my thoughts! Feel free to add your own. Of if this stuff exists and I'm just missing it, please let me know! |

Glad to hear I'm not the only one thinking about these changes. Thanks for the support! :)
