I'm not a player of EVE and have little knowledge of the lore above basics (each races' origins, EVE gate, some back story). But in the 20,000 years since the collapse of the EVE gate, civilisation collapsed and rebuilt itself to the current state/technology.
Now assuming Earth/humans are still around, would their technology not be god-like by now? Surely it would be feasible that they could re-locate New Eden and travel there (if knowledge of it still exists that is). Would EVE pilots be open to the idea of re-introducing Earth to New Eden, even if in a small capacity, such as some new tech/NPC chars.

Eve lore give me a headache. In theory what you saying is more than possible, but i'm sure is going to be a counterargument for it, simply because Earth technology will bring Dust 514 closer to a normal FPS, and that is blasphemy around this parts. |

if they havent died out in that 20k years... or who is to say they are not the sleepers. the tech is advanced enough and in the dust trailer the scanning of the cryo tube looked awfully human like and the ease at which the technology of the implants we clones use was to use by us also suggests biologically similarities.

I believe that even pre-collapse Earth tech is godly (Empyrean Age super weapon was pretty bad-ass), so if technological progress were to continue unabated then it may make sense for Terrans to have the ability to travel to New Eden but there are a lot of reasons why that may not necessarily happen:
One, the Eve Gate was a natural phenomena providing access to resources, without it all civilization Earth side may have died out.
Two, If Earth civilisation persisted despite the collapse of the Eve Gate then it would have had to develop alternative resources (or alternative methods of acquiring them), making contact with New Eden unnecessary.
Three, "Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space". The ability to travel to New Eden and the ability to find it again are two different propositions. Even if current Earth civilisation could locate New Eden what is there besides space bumpkins?
Personally I don't see what we would get from Earth contact in EVE that we couldn't get from the Jove. Ultimately this smacks of "this will be their portal to the Marvel universe and the Harry Potter universe". |

I read Templar One first and haven't yet begun Emperean Age (SP?), but I believe all 4 factions are human. Even the sleepers were/are human, it's the product of their research and "breeding" that led to their issues. |

Eden is such a shithole of backstabbing, why would anyone from Earth even want to visit it? I bet they're observing from a distance, and making sitcoms of the legal procedures the 4 factions have. Not to mention, if contact was made, all of the "corporations" would probably either go bankrupt or have to produce a product other than ore and ship-parts.
Everything in Eden is designed for an antagonistic downward spiral.
If you can read this, it means you are reading.

Unless Earth was similarly disrupted by the closing of the Eve gate. One interesting fact about New Eden, before the current empire came about, there were other cultures that rose and fell: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Talocan

A similar topic was created in the EVE forums quite a while ago, and I feel my statement there can be applied here.
First of all, the Sleepers are not Terrans, they're Jove that splintered off the main group soon after the EVE Gate collapsed, and everyone in the New Eden universe are humans 100%. And the fact is that as far as I know, Terrans had no clue where New Eden is located in the universe, and even with 28000+ years of technological advancement, assuming that Terrans are even alive anymore, finding one galaxy in a cluster of trillions is kind of tricky.
Speaking of that, the reason Terrans colonized into New Eden in the first place was because our own galaxy was getting depleted of resources, its collapse would have been catastrophic. Even if Terrans didn't clme extinct or destroy each other for the last remaining resources, they would have recolonized to another galaxy most likely. And as people have said already, finding a galaxy and actually traveling there are very different challenges, even if you go several hundred times the speed of light it would take centuries just to reach Andromeda, our nearest galaxy.
So tl;dr, Sleepers weren't humans, re-contact with New Eden and Terrans is very unlikely.

Well that pretty much sums it up and I didn't even consider the vast travel times it would require (barring some uber-jump/teleport tech). Consider myself educated and sated. |

They look human like because the sleepers are not aliens.
They are humans, the only sentient species in the eve universe are Humans and their constructs. |
