But in the 20,000 years since the collapse of the EVE gate, civilisation collapsed and rebuilt itself to the current state/technology. Now assuming Earth/humans are still around, would their technology not be god-like by now? Surely it would be feasible that they could re-locate New Eden and travel there (if knowledge of it still exists that is). Would EVE pilots be open to the idea of re-introducing Earth to New Eden, even if in a small capacity, such as some new tech/NPC chars. If I am talking complete nonsense please do educate me on the matter if they havent died out in that 20k years... or who is to say they are not the sleepers. the tech is advanced enough and in the dust trailer the scanning of the cryo tube looked awfully human like and the ease at which the technology of the implants we clones use was to use by us also suggests biologically similarities. A similar topic was created in the EVE forums quite a while ago, and I feel my statement there can be applied here.
First of all, the Sleepers are not Terrans, they're Jove that splintered off the main group soon after the EVE Gate collapsed, and everyone in the New Eden universe are humans 100%. And the fact is that as far as I know, Terrans had no clue where New Eden is located in the universe, and even with 28000+ years of technological advancement, assuming that Terrans are even alive anymore, finding one galaxy in a cluster of trillions is kind of tricky.
Speaking of that, the reason Terrans colonized into New Eden in the first place was because our own galaxy was getting depleted of resources, its collapse would have been catastrophic. Even if Terrans didn't clme extinct or destroy each other for the last remaining resources, they would have recolonized to another galaxy most likely. And as people have said already, finding a galaxy and actually traveling there are very different challenges, even if you go several hundred times the speed of light it would take centuries just to reach Andromeda, our nearest galaxy.
So tl;dr, Sleepers weren't humans, re-contact with New Eden and Terrans is very unlikely.
