I would like to start an EVE/DUST Committee, for people who are interested in linking the two games together. For the most part I read a bunch of request(complaints) in feedback and request like: blah blah overpowered, blah blah nerf, blah blah lav ran me over.
I feel like the EVE side is poorly represented on the DUST Forums sadly. So anyone interested in working together to make more active post please link topics in this thread to continue discussion on combining the two games together!
Here's one of my threads.

a committee, just a group of people on the forums that actively post about linking the two games together and come up with ideas that link the two together and support similar post so they don't get lost and archived. |

I'm primarily an EVE player, so the statement is incorrect. There are just currently no reasons to get involved that are significant. If dust people had capabilities to hurt EVE players, than EVE players would be more involved. |

Xocoyol Zaraoul wrote:Well as an EVE player, you kinda matter for FW, and that's cool, but...
I'm not a FW player, I'm concerned about how to make a profit or grief someone/pee-on-their-face-to-assert-dominance...
I can't make money off of dusties as I can't salvage them nor manage to get any contracts from them nor even sell them anything, so that sucks...
And I can OB and help out, but... It's literally all-risk and ZERO gain for me, so that kinda sucks too =\
Still, I love and play both games, but I don't see any reason why Xocoyol should care about his guardian angel in the skies above, nor the intel/miner workaholic alter-egos...
I agree, there needs to be more reason for EVE players to get involved, and it's not by making dust players dependent on EVE players it's the other way around. There needs to be a symbiotic relationship, and there are many ways to do it.
Making Dust players dependent on EVE players will probably make people buy some accounts, but until there is a demand for dust mercs by EVE players, EVE will barely stay involved. |

LMAO, if you don't think DUST players are conniving, manipulative, deceitful, greedy, and disrespectful, you couldn't be more wrong.
Already we all see alliances, diplomacy, back room dealings, corp theft, espionage, sabotage, and plenty more in DUST. |

Xocoyol Zaraoul wrote:As an EVE player I do like this though, a "soon" reward for OBs that, depending on LP, would be rather tempting: Quote:CCP FoxFour wrote: Orbital Strikes You know all those Warbarge strikes that you love to use? Well we will be removing them from factional contract matches. The only way to get orbital support in Factional Contracts will be through a starship strike (which I hope to rename) provided by an EVE player. There are other changes we plan to make as well such as having it be the EVE player that earns the orbital strike by capturing a beacon above the district, having the EVE player get LP and a kill report in EVE for providing the orbital strike, and having a battle browser of some kind in EVE so EVE factional warfare pilots can find DUST matches to provide these orbital strikes to. Also we want to look at letting the EVE pilot join the team voice channel to help coordinate the strike. :D
What this means is that in Factional Contract matches you could be the losing team on the ground, but winning the space fight and have a real advantage. It hopefully means in the end more dynamic and enjoyable fights.
These changes will not come at the same time as the rest of the Factional Contract changes, but should hopefully not be too far behind.
It's for factional warfare.
PC is where the changes need to come. Factional Warfare is next to irrelevant to most people. Most people are trying to capture planets and districts, fighting against the amarr/minmatar/caldari/gallente is great and all, and so are the loyalty points, but it's not a good enough reason for EVE players to fit for orbital support instead of fit for PVP.

Iron Wolf Saber wrote:the Council of Universal Management?
Probably needs to be a council of joint-eve/dust players working together, since to my understanding CPM and CSM do nothing together to connect the two games together. In fact I don't think the CSM cares at all, and it looks like the CPM cares very little, and are concentrating more on other things that have little if not nothing to do with linking the two games together.
Hence a committee that will bug the CPM and CSM that we do want the two games more linked. |

Xocoyol Zaraoul wrote:True, but for me LP can be a pretty sweet deal if I can use it for Caldari navy or SOE or a few other select special interest groups with special LP stores, as running incursions is my thing and I need extremely fancy fits for that to earn me hundreds of millions of isk an hour instead of costing me, well... hundreds of millions of isk an hour.
*shrugs*
We do need more coexistence for all players, where you can "ignore" the other aspect if you want, but more profitable/more options if you pay attention to the "other" game.
I totally agree with you. I like the ideas they are implementing, but they are too small. If you told the major alliances that DUST players will be able to attack a POS...
my God EVE players would have dust players in high demand, and start making merc contracts.
if EVE players could profit off DUST via market/manufacturing/clones, etc.... they would get involved. |

Some humor here in the thread but in all seriousness the Dust. / EVE link is what would be (and was billed as) revolutionary gaming. OSG has a very tight EVE side linkage and we are looking forward to the upcoming evolutions of FW and PC because of it.
I know OSG does, I was recently slaughtered in Molden Heath, by covert intervention, for the most part though EVE side of dust corporations is weak. Looking to build my EVE side up more. |

Then find a new game, the two games are suppose to be linked, if you don't want to work towards linking them together (on a much smaller forum where ccp has an easier time) then go play another game, I'm for the advancement of linkin the two together to make the one universe//one war a reallity |

specifically stations or POS's |
