I gotta disagree if you played in Chromosome the only complaints were the DS3 felt to sluggish and the mouse could turn 360 x10 faster then DS3 this was mainly due to turn limitation on suits that the mouse could bypass with high DPI..
Since then turn limitations were removed DS3 speed was increased and Aim Assist added to improve the controller sensitivity and CQC, which to this day has been done successfully, hence why you don't hear any DS3 users complaing anymore. .
During chromosome the mouse was flawless it was damn near raw input..We had very little complaints of OP kb/m besides the suit turn speed bug.. With that in mind, I dont think anyone was really sure why Uprising came around and CCP added the mouse emulation crap we have now..
The only player base its hurting or frustrating,( some to the point of not using an alternate input) is the kb/m users..
Aim Assist for DS3 should stay some may say it needs toned down a bit but I personally don't mind it either way being I've had to switch to the DS3 the past couple months. .
But.. if DS3 is rocking a aim assist at its peak there should be no reason mouse users shouldn't get raw input back.. Raw input doesn't make every mouse user pro over night just like Aim assist doesn't make a DS3 user pro..
The only way to balance is to put each input to its highest standard it'll seperate the boys from the girls just like it did successfully in Chromosome. . Just like the aim assist debate has been doing between controller users.. |

Of course it can't be removed now because around half the playerbase is likely EVE players and using m/kb. So much for wanting to attract a new audience and then half of a tiny playerbase is EVE players...
Please show me the statistics were "half the player base is using a kb/m" if this was the case wouldn't you think we would have a lot more threads like these. . ? |

1: Rawinput wasn't OP in Chromosome.. Even if it wasn't raw input, im almost positive it was becuase in chromosome I was surgical with the AR like I am in most PC shooters..
2: I'm a veteran kb/m user have used kb/m in old school SoF, Doom, CS, won many tournaments and lans in vanila COD before it went gay.. Guess what, unless I'm using the MD I'm using the controller.. Why you ask, if I'm a self proclaimed kb/m vet?
Well it's simple, what we have right now is not kb/m its a floating emulation in a pool of **** that makes fine movements and strafe accuracy completely erratic compared to the DS3 and aim assist.. So yep, I'm using the controller because the kb/m is that screwed up my competitive nature won't allow me to be handicapped.. So I switch to what works, once CCP actually fixes the kb/m ill use it but intill then I'm only improving my skills with the controller and this gives me less reasons to return to Dust once the PS4 drops..
I love CCP and Dust, and being an EVE player for 5yrs I don't want to hang it up but I only came over becuase of kb/m support, I stuck around for the past 5 months of CCP demolishing the kb/m becuase of RND and the community and of course like any bitter vet hanging on to the slim hope that CCP will turn this game into something great.. |
