The only time -- and I mean ONLY time I've ever seen these guys play, is in pub matches. And they ONLY play with ALL proto gear. They drive around the map in LAV's, spamming their PROTO active scanners for prey such as myself, and destroy them in two seconds with their PROTO assault rifles.
I understand being competitive. Really. Some people enjoy it. But what I don't get is how they can be allowed into every single pub match to stomp on the average player who just wants to have fun, earn ISK, and of course, SP.
What's the point of being such try-hards? Do they not work? Do they not have other hobbies? Do they even get up to urinate, or do they wallow in their battle stations and soil their makeshift undies with the DUST 514 logo scrawled on it with a sharpie?
I don't know how to say "Screw you, get a life." in Japanese, but if I did, it would be the first thing I scream as I flatten them with my Militia LAV. Seriously, it's the only was I was able to kill them. After about three kills this way, they pull out three Proto swarm launchers and fire them all at once. Their losses? Probably 100k ISK in proto suits. My loss? Like 15-20k ISK. Fellsgoodman.
Anyways, discuss. Rip me a new one, "HTFU", whatever, just don't stoop to their level.

"No, my friend, they simply spam Core Locus so much it looks like a mass driver."
Jokes aside, Nyain San are pretty cool and all. I support their actions fully, as it makes people learn the hard way why tiercide makes sense.

Aren`t Japanese competitive in every game? Competitive as in tryin to be good, perfectionism and all that? Or am I generalising? I know very little of the gaming culture there but everything what I`ve heard points to that direction.

The key to full proto is to stick with a full squad. As a lone wolf if I see them I go to the other end of the field and hack all their stuff. If I catch one alone I'll pick them off but it's rare that they don't have all their friends supporting each other.

I would then ask for CCP to try, at least try, to separate matches by skill level, skill points, K/D, or something like that. But that would only fragment the pathetically small player base. |

I've never understood why "try hard" is an insult. They try hard, and they succeed. Get over it. On the EU servers I have to deal with Duna & his LLAV. But when I pop a volley of swarms in his Chary's armour knowing he's lost a Gastun's with it, it makes my 2/5 on the match stats look like 1st place.

We had a couple Nyain San alts join XERCC. It may be hard for them to run proto with a 95% tax rate. Then again if they steal a nice chunk of the corp wallet at any one time, they could certainly run proto enforcer tanks all day from their personal wallet.

I would have no problem agreeing with you if it weren't for the fact that they just stomp on newer players in an environment that's supposed to be for regular matches, but instead they lock them down, or make people rage-quit. It's counter-productive. |

I appreciate the challenge, also, getting a kill Vs a Nyain San player, is a better feeling than getting one Vs A random Redberry, especially when its done in a 200-250 EHP Scout suit with a basic Shotgun.
As for Duna's Corp? I think its just a way for him to fund his Enforcer antics with Corporation tax.

Some people say he's cheap but I can honestly say that he has a good mindset for playing tanks. He loses them rarely and I call it a good sense of his abilities cause it's a hard life for a STD tank in a proto AV paradise. |

They really aren't all that impressive....not even a little bit. In fact, why don't you email them and ask them about the severe ass whipping they took at the hands of The Neutral Zone on Tuesday night.
They have full proto gear, yes. They pack a powerful punch yes...but there are cracks in their methods. All you have to do is divide them and conquer them. They run gauged uplinks I'm 75% sure and they drop MANY of them and they drop them underneath their nanohives so you can't see them very well.
Take out the uplinks and divide them and they fall apart....and when you hand them a severe ass whipping when you're a corp full of some proto, but mostly advanced...that's saying something.
So I feel your pain...they've kicked my ass a bunch of times, but Tuesday night they got some comeuppance when 12 of us from The Neutral Zone steamrolled their asses haha +1 for the little guy ;) |
