this has been killing me (and foes  ) for awhile and so far I haven't seen anyone avoid the Null cannons
or installation - even the proto scouts!
so, just a small change with a major effect is to give Null cannons & installations a 44DB scan precision- that way
light frames are no longer the scouts equal (UP equal) and any non-scout will have to equip dampeners to be stealthy.
scouts have been dying unfairly (especially PROFILE DAMPENED ones) because they've been scanned to the entire
enemy team, unknowingly but impossible to avoid.
remember, when you first see lightning play in a open field!

hadn't really thought of that, It would probably be better for 40DB to make scouts be able to sneak around objectives and
have other suits need profile dampeners to get through undetected.

I know, been frustrating me after I noticed a few other scouts getting scanned (not blinking) while solo!
and I can't count how many times a heavy, A HEAVY detects my scout just because of that!

sounds like a great topic  .
such as installations aiming systems rely on DB for a rough accuracy of where the foe is.
with this it could be harder for them to detect dampened suits, but easier for undampened suits making stealth play more viable than staying out of LOS and active scanners.

UPDATE: OK. According to the game designers this was intended behaviour. However they understand the lack of even notice of being scanned isn't quite balanced. So they are discussing on if they will remove this entirely or update its behaviour to be more balanced.
