For several hundred or a thousand years after the jove came to an end of genetic manipulation, thus they have been suffering from the infamous "Jove Disease". this disease is not contagious to anyone outside of jovian blood.
we all know that as a result of this, the jove are very small in number, some think they are the sleepers who have tried to escape the disease by implanting themselves in a virtual reality found in wormhole space, others think they have died out which is the reason nobody has heard from them or had an encounter in centuries publically, others think that the jove are working with sansha (a pilot managed to get a probe through one of the wormholes sansha used to escape in and found an entire fleet of sansha parked around a jovian space station, meaning that sansha has access to jove space somehow) but this is all speculations and theories, as is what your about to read.
We all know that the clone technology was 1st discovered by the amarr empire in an unknown abandoned space station located on the edge of known space. once they had acquired the technology they did experiments on it to see what its purpose was, thus the 1st generation clones were born, however these clones were highly unstable and unpredictable, they were insane for short, occasionally they would black out and the numbers 514 would be written in blood everywhere with no explanation of who did it, there have also been reports that soldiers who are still alive from the 1st generation hear someone whispering the word 514 to them which is probably how they went insane in the 1st place.
in recent articles I have found, it is a widely known subject that the sleepers are in fact a blood line of the jove empire that split off the empire many, many years ago before the jove disease was even existing.
the story of the implants go back to the jove empire in origins, we all have jove technology that allows us to become immortal, but what I think is that the jove developed this technology year ago and INTENDED for the empires to discover it, in turn the empires would perfect it in what way they could so that the immortal soldiers would never die. after the implant is fully completed it would theoretically be ready for jove use, the jove would then reclaim the technology and use it to prolong their lives in order to finally cure the jove disease.
think about it, what else would the original purpose for the implant be other than to prolong the creators' lives, the jove need the implant technology so that they can use it themselves and live as immortals as long as they need to finally find a cure for their disease and once again become a thriving empire of immense proportion and godlike superiority.
the jove empire's return depends solely on the implants. im also guessing that the numbers 514 have something to do with jove space itself. one possibility is that the numbers are a transition much like migration instincts calling the clones back to jove space so the implants may be used by the jove.
my only leads on this are the sectors in jove space: J7HZ-F : I4-DK8 : 54-VNO. A821-A : B9J-NT : 69A-54. and some sectors in the furthest jove space on the star map, im still currently looking through jove space right now.

Only about a fourth to a third of all Jove suffer from the disease. So there numbers are not as small as people believe. Though most all of the high class is afflicted. They already had cloning technology, though, originally discovered models were only compatible with highly genetically modified Jove.
The Jove are not the Sleepers.
514 is a reference to the planet and expedition force that found the technology.
The Jove have little reason to expand their territory. They can have any resource they want in their space.

theres nothing to prove that, and theres nothing to prove anything happened to them, other than sanshas invasion since that pilot got lucky with the probe

It is entirely possible in his time Sansha Kuvakei found a naturally occuring wormhole to the Jovian Systems and since has built his forces upon the ruins of their technology.
His vastly superior ship designs and advanced laser weaponry like the Jove are indicative that he has exploited some kind of advanced technology.

Sounds good Void, only problem is, from what we have been told about Jove Disease is that its a form of extream depression caused by losing what is left of their humanity to genetic manipulation and overuse of implants. Becoming an immortal would only make that situation worse. |

its genetic buy only inhabits 3/4ths of the population. those that are not infected with it could use the implants to find a cure.

They have not gone, they are still fufilling their role.
The Jove are the caretakers, they created the others, to help care for the sleepers. The sleepers slepted for the trip thru the gate. Once the trip ended, they refused to awaken. so the jove kept to their role. until the others took over. and the sleepers left. The sleepers even now continue to sleep. They sleep in distant space, they sleep in the heads of the first generations.
The others are here, the sleepers are begining to awake, but they awake within us.

((A few misconceptions here.
The sleepers left to wormhole space BECAUSE of the Jove disease, and the Enheduanni manipulating both them and the Jove.
The Enheduanni were the original caretakers of the sleepers, meant to facilitate their passing from virtual world to reality and obtaining the knowledge they gained within it, in order to improve the Jovian people as a whole (really, they were all 'Jovian' if you like; they were all human and of the same empire)
Knowledge that the Jove and Sleepers have the same origins IS actually common knowledge. I myself participated in the story-driven in-game expeditions that worked with CCP actors to advance knowledge about the Sleepers. This was called the Arek'Jaalan report, and I had the honor of actually participating alongside Julianus Soter, one of the listed project directors. Thanks to the project, specifically 'Project Trinity', we discovered the links between the Jove and the Sleepers
Link to the project wiki HERE Enjoy the fruits of our labour

It is not a subject I have thought about truthfully. But if I were to make a statement about the Jove it would be that they are to be feared. They possess extremely advanced technology and are more than capable of infiltrating every network we and the various empires possess. CONCORD is just asking for it. They are everywhere in higher security space and so are capsuleers and us. We immortal soldiers are artificial. What if our very bodies and minds were bugged so that we transmitted all of our activities, knowledge and experiences back to the Jove. They don't need contact with us when they have us on a vid-screen. And with what I've experienced alone, if I were the Jove, I wouldn't want contact with the rest of New Eden either. Constant war, strife, conflict, you name it. All are different forms of disease.
Sansha has access to Jovian tech without a doubt. But the question to be asked is whether he took it, or was left it. I don't believe he would have dealings with the Jove, but I do think that the jove could trick him into believing he just happened upon it. The same goes for those that found the cloning technology.
Why the Jove would want us to have it is a big enough question on its own. Who is to say it is Jovian at all. Maybe there is more than just Amarr, Minmatar, Gallente, Jove and Caldari. The empires are old, but Human kind is older and the Galaxy older still. |

The Jove are dead, the Nation has destroyed them. That is what I believe, there is more than enough evidence to speculate this is the case, but not enough to consider it the truth. there is enough evidence to speculate all the theories. Yet we know the Nation comes out of Jovian space using advanced tech synonymous with the Jove.
that's all we know, we don't have any clues saying the jove are dead or they are working together.

The Nation doesn't play well with others.... working together? No. Jove subservient worker slaves, if they still live, more likely.

Then what is the purpose of this discussion?

While there may be no absolute proof, we do know that A: the Jove were in dire straits due to their disease several years ago, and B: they were very protective of their technology, and the advancement of our own. By all accounts they were always our benefactors, ensuring balance of power and technology amongst the empires. There were always rumors that they even assisted in the Minmatar rebellion. It is very unlikely they would work with the likes of Sansha, and even less so that they would give him advanced technology willingly.
That they are gone, and the Sansha entered their space to steal technology, is the most plausible theory. |
