Scouts do need a buff, but what if I said:

Hey we should make a special light weapon for logis, but make it to where scouts and assualts can't run them?

Wouldn't be fair would it? Even if it was meant for logistics you would agree that everyone else should be able to use them right?

It kills me to say it, but I agree with Atiim here.

Let's say CCP added a repair gun that took up a sidearm slot. And it reps for 600hp/s or something equally idiotic. And it's limited to logistics suits. Despite the incredible variety of fittings that denies. Would you people suggesting that scouts should have their own gear agree that constricting the options in a game like this is a bad idea?

And using heavies as a counter-argument? Heavies are the least versatile suit in the game. They're built for one thing, and they're good at one thing - killing things. They're designed to carry a gun to facilitate that role, considering that they can fulfill no other.
A scout is fast, difficult to detect and has an equipment slot. (WHETHER OR NOT THOSE ARE ACTUALLY BENEFICIAL IS NOT RELEVANT) It's inherently a far more versatile suit than the heavy - and clearly, given the ostensibly 'OP' nature of the Logistics suit, versatility is king in DUST.

I'd argue that a far better balancing point would be an extra equipment slot at proto level (or maybe ADV, I guess) and CPU and PG to match, and then some.

Heavies probably won't be able to use it no matter what since it will most likely be equipment.

So yeah, it should be a scout only thing.

Edit: I just wanna throw in there that we shouldn't be fighting like this. I've seen and been killed by my scout bros here(damn you Lighting!) And Atiim I've seen you on the forums a lot and you seem like a level headed guy with some good opinions.
