I'm typing on a phone so I can't do an essay. But after talking to many top tier players there is a general agreement that time to kill has become to fast. None of us want to play another twitch shooter and this patch has pushed myself and probably others into unfun and log off rather EvE style rage quit.
I fear if somthing is not done it will futher damage the fragile playerbase as gungame has become very unfun which compound by the awful grind sp event.

ok i understand that but please be aware a lot of people are very unhappy with this and i cant be the only one who has stopped playing until this is fixed

for what its worth just knowing that CCP are going to fix will get me back playing again (more out of liking to play with powerrangers lol)
but it would be worth CCP doing a dirty fix now and then using 1.7 to throw in the full weapon balance pass as they introducing new guns then anyway. also thank you to CPM i was very sceptical about you guys but for once you proved you lessened and acted

sadly my understanding of the CPM is communicate the will of the community not your own preference and has been made clear in a number of treads and not just my own on the issue. a lot more people enjoyed the longer strafing engagements, and longer draw out battles all together.
one of themes i have noticed players hint at, is the predator, pray chasing that used to happen, where a player would dash away from someone leading to high tension chases where a prey hoped to god he got to black to squad mates or at least out of danger, and predator got a kick out of chasing poor newberrys down and planting that final bullet.
that sadly does not happen anymore because you drop in under a second.
i put some thought into what i would think good ttk would be.
apparently the average human reaction time is 215 milliseconds. source
as a result i feel that 250 should be roughly how long it takes to kill someone if you get a drop on them. this means that assaults and heavys will either need back up or confident in their own skills that they can get the drop on the player.
while allowing the scout classes to use their instant kill shotguns and knives as rewards for getting the drop. fully aware people might disagree but this length allows people to really mix up their modules and let the differents suits strengths shine.
