The **** talking that you speak of now is yes a result of ringers. However Red* also uses ringers in almost every match. Your own guys admit it yourselves in eon pc chat that the game is dying, people are leaving and no one is able to field full teams. Talking down on someone because they do not field full teams when you obviously can't either is hypocritical.
I do not mind when it comes to filling up spots and have a full 16. I've had lots of conversations with Lady when it comes to late timers and we both are trying to fill spots to make the battle as enjoyable as possible. The difference is when we do have the numbers from our corp we play those people. Paradox on the other hand (aside from trying to fill spots) goes into a match with 10-14 paradox people, and once they see mostly red star on the other team, more than half back out and replace them with Nyan San, OH, and AE. You cant use the filling spots excuse in that sense since we already saw a full paradox team and I doubt that something came up for 8-12 people that they all had to back out. Double timers are also another reason we (us and paradox) use ringers. To fill two 16-man teams is hard when we both can barely fill 1 16-man team. in these two cases neither corp has ever talked smack to one another.
So to sum it up, through trial and error, these are the scenarios that are considered ok when it comes to ringers. These scenarios are not approved by me but have been used by mostly all corps (to which scenario applies) as ACCEPTABLE excuses to use ringer: 1. Not enough corp members to fill a full 16. 2. having stacked timers and splitting up corp members and fill 2 or more 16-man teams both mixed with ringers. 3. having stacked timers and filling up a full 16 with corp members as possible and getting 1-2 corp members to use ringer team for other timer/s.
The one scenario I think we can all agree on that is considered unacceptable, which is the one we as a corp never have done in the history of pc, and call out paradox on occasion is: Having enough corp members to fill in a full team, yet subbing them out for ringers during the warbage time frame
So yes. We both use ringers, but using ringers has never been the problem when it comes to **** talking. Its how ringers are used. To us ringers are always a last resort and we will never sub a corp member for one, even if the corp member is a noob and ringer is full proto veteran. Corp members always have priority to PC slots. Obviously some corps give preference to ringers over their own corpmates. and if that's the case... why bother accepting the member into your corp... food for thought
Now how we choose from different corpmates, that's a whole different discussion.
Dont try to explain something that you yourself dont understand fully. It's people like you that give our corp a bad rep. Twisting things out of context and putting it on the forum. Get your facts straight first. |
