***** being blown out of proportion and having game mechanics that actually work is separating the men from the boys so to speak, its a process thats been going on for a while now as the former "good" players kick and scream that each new update means they get killed more and more by new people because their gear isnt carrying them as much and that bullets will hit them
Anyway back a little more on topic I do like the changed feel of things, I can kill a proto suit in a starter fitting much easier if I get the jump on him now instead of getting the jump on him and watching him bounce around or not enough shots register to kill him as before

why didn't they change the blaster-ar range when they patched 1.6?
Because 40 meters is mid range and its a close to mid range weapon Now as angry as you are at that how much will you scream when the CR and RR drop which have increased ranges?

I have been waiting for the combat rifle for too long, even if it was sht I'd still use it as its winmatar.
The stats on it make it look like its going to be a beefy marksman weapon that should shred armor, so a counterpoint to what the scrambler is right now which I like the idea of and will definitely be grabbing at least the standard version of to start playing with it But since it has a greater optimal than the AR meaning guys getting killed at a greater distance I imagine the QQ would be deafening as long as its not shooting spit balls

Not to mention the ScR getting a range buff. I expect to be yelling "where the f*ck did that come from!" at my TV a lot come 1.7 if CCP doesn't tone down the damage on all weapons across the board
Im on the opposite side as you on the matter, I like the idea of increased ranges making things more difficult and meaning I have to always be aware and cautious It makes the game more exciting to me that way when there is always a sense of danger and hell, increased ranges mean we can shoot those jackasses standing on rooftops with something besides a sniper rifle and maybe pop a few redline snipers for instance on ashland near D I cant tell you how many times Ive seen a sniper hiding in the hills nearby just out of range of me being able to kill him Of course I still take a couple shots to let him know I see him, usually makes them run away
