The 1.6 patch is very good from an engineers perspective (like myself), technical improvements are immense, I really like these changes and want to give CCP a lot of cred since I know how much work is behind these changes.
However, this game has been marketed with concepts like "your choices matter", "fight your own war", "most complex shooter you have ever seen" or "diverse game where you can become a sniper in a heavy suit". This is where the problem with Uprising in general, and 1.6 in particular starts to appear. Let me examplify:
The skill tree and the extreme grind you have to go through does not significantly improve your character anymore
- The increase in HP is invalidated. This has been invalidated by the TTK we see now that hit detection is fixed.
If you make a choice to skill into any other weapon than AR and core locus grenades and medium frame, you made the inferior decision.
- AR has no recoil
- It has superior DPS in all ranges
- Jack of all trades, master of all weapon.
- Even better now with hit detection improved twice (technically working optimally).
What we do know is that CCP is monitoring statistics of each weapon, and I am now proposing a protest against CCP:s changes, and also a protest against the assault rifle (gallente) and locus grenade OP:ness by encouraging people to run AR and AR only independent of your suit.
If you have BPO suit and BPO AR, just stack on some armor plates, damage mods and Toxin or Exile AR. Lets give CCP the statistics they need so that they understand how screwed up this weapon is. Spam them locus grenades like you mean it. Preferably while standing on a nanohive.
Good luck playing the game as it was designed to be played, you will never get a better KDR then with an AR.

Your argument is not constructive or cohesive. So why aren't you discussing about those decisions that we are lacking that impacts the war? How does 1.6 makes our choices and decisions matter less? Is the AR the direct impact on your choice of skillsets, maneuvers, skill progression and overall re playability? How does the AR "easy mode" discussion correlates with the thread title and its suggested topic discussion? Instead, you just went for the common community like generator topic "AR is bad Construct your opinions better, cause right now it reads, "1.6 does nothing to improve upon the choice/repercussions scenario suggested by CCP but the ARs suck and it's great for a KDR boost". Huh? Does that make sense to you? It doesn't flow together. You're essentially discussing a topic that doesn't even coincides with the thread title, which in the end, is very misleading as to what you're expressing.

Also, this patch can be seen equivalent as the scams blizzard are pulling off with every release expansion for WoW/Diablo 3. Raise level cap with 5-10 levels, invalidate all your work up until now. Making your current gear useless. I have been part of too many patches like that.

Just look in the general discussion right now (and for the last months, since uprising was released). Basic writing tip: Never compose an opinion piece with a discussion that has nothing to do with the title of said piece. It's as if you titled a thread about Coke but in the type up, you're discussing coke.
I can be man enough to say that the thread might have been a little bit off topic. But my protest about CCP invalidating our choices should still remains as the focus. Do you want me to edit the OP?
EDIT: Please suggest a (better) action that one could take to make CCP understand that they are marketing this product falsely? Should we all just stop playing to make an example? I guess many of the top players are already doing this.
Send in a support ticket? Dont think that will change the situation.
Use OP fittings to make a point? This certainly works in EVE online, where Goonswarm have abused stupic mechanics to the max to make a point. Taking action is more important than writing stuff on the forums.
