To give 6 other members of the other team the location and direction of the team is crazy. And, its not like there is any skill in it. You just point... unlike CoD: Black Ops 1 & 2 where you had to EARN that power. Blackbird/Orbital VSAT has long been considered the most powerful tool in CoD(or any FPS). But in DUST, even the most useless player can drool like a vegetable while playing and aquire massive WP just by scanning all game.
Using my SCR with a Scanner was flippin' overkill!

I also made the modifications to all my suits, that I no longer run armor. I run Dampeners.

While scanning the other team turns this game into easy mode for a single player, not to mention 5 other squadmates...
The most powerful thing in FPS is stealth. The scanner neutralizes that advantage, and turns the game back into easy mode, like in Beta when you knew were everyone was, and the screen was littered with orange arrows.

Not to mention, its about the easiest way to farm WP. I am seriously thinking about switching from Assault Dropsuits, to Logi.

Its OP as well because its forcing players into niches. You can no longer choose what you want in your Low-Slots anymore, you're forced to use Dampeners, because all the Armor and Reps in the world won't save you if the enemy knows where you are and can flank you and shoot you in the back.

Active scanner = Insta-skill

Active scanner = Insta-skill aaaaaaahahahahhah yes before you had a "choice" of armor and reps. Yes scanners can use a little rework, but they killed tacnet, so meh what ever I think you will find that this is actually better balance of low slot modules then before, some people will still prefer speed and others will rely tank now there is a real option for dampers. Besides dampers really don't help enough to be worth it an attentive scanner will know they didn't find you and call out that there is an invisible scout out there and you will be the first taken off the field because you are a soft target and every one is looking for you. At least that's how i've been seeing it go.

Fix those two things or even just one of them and scanners will be fine.
