So now that we're done feeding the troll... Although it is good to see an imp trolling again. takes me back.

With the ranges that will be coming in 1.7 the AR's going to be outranged by pretty much everything.

Maybe the lack of recoil is going to be a decent trade off for being pretty much only for CQC.

as long as the fall off after the AR's effective range is a bit steeper than it is now I think that a not having much recoil could be a decent advantage for blaster tech

I know that first hand. Alot of the hate the AR gets right now is left over from when it was actually OP and had no competition for it's class of weaponry. Depending on what happens it might actually need a buff when it's compared to the new rifles and a longer range SCR.

 Nope SR

... And Killer its called pacing

Pacing falls under the 'skill' umbrella.

And yeah, Regnyum, provided you can aim and know how to manage the heat correctly the SCR has little trouble with ARs. It's a great feeling dropping someone with a duvolle with one charge shot to the face at 10m...

funfact for those not in the know - the SCR heat buildup is per second, not per shot. The faster you fire your bursts the more damage you can get out before you have to cool down.

If CCP doesn't change that mechanic and increases the range on the SCR we're going to have a monster on our hands.

ScR shoots at AR user. AR user jumps to evade fire, Dodging 3 shots ScR OHs, AR kills ScR us
The ScR is a pre-nerf tacAR with the additional ability to charge for extra damage. And it's range is going to get longer. Things could get messy. We'll see how it stacks up against the new rifles, though.
