I'm sorry, but with all the technology in New Eden, you now expect simple things like door locks??? GTFO!
But seriously, I lost an HAV today, because someone was able to get into it a millisecond faster than me. He didn't know how to drive it, and certainly didn't know how to activate the Armor Hardeners... Forge Gun ate it up in no time. . .

yep all vehicles should be locked to player on delivery and then locked to player, squad, team should be selectable by the player while in the vehicle.
vehicles should be hackable by teamates when they are locked and you have left them unattended.
Of course for this to work you have to have a kick option, to boot people out of your vehicle with a WP loss if you boot teamates in such a way that they land in the red line and die there shows in killfeed as a team kill.
Arguments against the kick:
People will abuse it to troll blueberries: that's a self correcting problem, and the worst abuse is fixed by wp loss to red line trolling. people will sit in the red line just to cost the pilot WP: then make sure you kick them so they land out of the red line.
But see, to some of us, it's entirely worth it. It's payback for how many times they got in our vehicles and never left to do anything productive, like hack a point or CRU.

yea well thats kinda the point it should be possible just it shouldn't be optimal, that and if you do it enough people will stop riding with you, hence self correcting. |

I want locks too, but I don't think we should judge all the blues too harshly. In all other similar games, like battlefield , free vehicles just spawn and then you jostle with other people to get it. The RDV delivery is likely seen by many new players as a similar system. Many, not all of course, will think vehicles are just free and random spawns.
We still need locks, but some education by the game to these new players would also be useful.

Hmmm.
Okay, granted, that's still beyond CCP. They are still working on head shot kill messages (they are trying hard for it to not show 'Hello World!' instead) |

Good point. Tutorial needs to BRAND the newberry's mind about consequences in New Eden.
Have all newbies start out with 100mill ISK, but through the tutorial destroy their assets over and over, force them to repurchase dozens of times, show them the PAIN of trying to grind that dropship hull, just to be met with the incredible prices for turrets, until they're down to maybe 1mill ISK, which they get to keep for getting through the tutorial. They will treasure it, and we'll never have impolite blueberries again.
Then put them in the Academy.
THEN into pubs.

There is only one way not to have your dropship stole (for the moment). Take a dropship without the mobile drop uplink module and fly like hell once it has been drop by the bolas. If you play with a squad, give them an area where they will be isolated. Or you can also troll those little blue because it's all they deserve. A squad has the priority to enter the vehicule 1/2 secondes before the others blue. Generally, there are less blue droping at the MCC than on the ground base.
Here are all the tips i know if you want to see your dropship again.
I'm afraid that is more difficult for LAV except if you get them back safe before you leave them... |

And then my tank finally fell to some guy with MLT swarms. The sad part is that the AV guy had to reload 3 times. The blueberry even let the guy drop a F***ing hive!
I sent him some mail asking why and he said he kept trying to use the armor transporter and it didn't work.
