The scout is the weakest class in the whole game and in my opinion it should be aible to do the following things: -stay hidden from the hostile team -be aible to spot hostiles much easier
Those two aspects cant really be done cause every 1 gets shot on sight if they aint green or blue and the current spam of active scanners. First off light-scout suits need a drastic decrease in signature and the argument to put 3 complex dampeners on is not a option and we all know that. I have 2 ideas how to make playing as scout fun.
-active cloaking: it should be a equipment and used similar like blowing up a remote explosive but instead when you pull the trigger you cloak up. This equipment should be restricted to scouts only which means when you use it on any other suit the fit becomes invalid. Should have a cooldown time between each use similar like with active scanners. -Standard variant will cloak you while standing still and it disrupts by walking -advanced will allow you to walk but not sprint -proto will allow you to sprint without dropping the cloak (the idea below has a longer effective time and the cloak is for short time use)
-Team ID masking: -aswell a equipment you perform a hack animation which will turn you blue to the hostile team for a set amount of time. After you kill hostiles you turn red again. However your name will still remain the same visible by aiming at you (as usual). this is aswell a lightframe-scout restricted tool. -Standard variant will allow you to kill 1 enemy before turning red -advanced variant allows you to kill 2 enemys before turning red -prot will allow you to perform 3 kills then you turn red again
Scouts are for infiltration, backstabbing, sabotage and assasination. With those changes scouts with shotguns and nova knifes would be a viable choice. And both equipments wont be disrupted by active scanners. People with situational awareness will still be aible to find cloaked/Team ID masked scouts. Or would you stop shoting a guy only cause he ran around a corner and turned blue?

Active cloaking should instead have a scan profile requirement, equal to whatever a scout can achieve with maxed passives. |

I love this idea, but the cloaking should be more useful...like you can still run instead of just walking or standing still like adv and str respectively. The scouts deserve stealthiness because they are suppose to be stealthy, and standing still don't seem all stealthy to me. The ID masking i'm a little iffy, cause i'm sure all the pro's and experienced players will catch on fast..the new twerps would fall for it but i doubt the pro's would.
