When I try and take out a heavy it feel like it takes forever but, when I played the heavy today it was worse than the suit I normally use. I got taken down so quick even with over 1400 hp going one on one, I can't mention anything about proficiency as I have no idea what the others would be using, IE weapons. I don't feel the heavies have benefitted one bit from the buff.
Getting tired of these circular movements that people use as it's so bloody fast it's ridiculous. Firing a stream of bullets that they pass through with barely a scratch and my characters not able to move anywhere near those speeds. This has to be the difference between keyboard and a standard controller and really should be addressed ASAP.
Jump heights, i find this laughable but pisses me off. Even if these clones are enhanced machines I do find it stupid that a clone can jump shoulder height to him/herself and over a hail of bullets.
For so many players in the game(supposedly thousands), why do I seem to go up agains the same names for half my battles. Obviously not enough player base or random game connections when on the forum you see post asking, who's your nemesis is in the game. For there to even have posts like this hints at a shortage of players.
Given CCP's knowledge of for all their years developing EVE, I think Dust 514 is SEVERELY lacking in quality and equality. Battles are still so one sided most of the time with one side or the other getting slaughtered.
See Here.... http://i.imgur.com/pX7IoWt.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0EOzRaX.jpg
I don't think being on either side here is any fun at all, no competition for the winners and the losers just going out to die to get the game over with like the last 2 players on the enemy list. As for me, i just sat on the MCC again just for the ISK.
The constant promises that NEVER come to Dust is wearing VERY VERY thin now and I for one am seriously considering binning dust, like the weapons recently dropped that were meant for 1.6 or the Vita app thats been promised for the last year we still have no sign of. |

If not, then you can't just say things like that.

Hello Heavenly! And yes, I think Ulysses is making some good points... This game is SO ruthless with its learning curve (more ruthless than we ever fully realize while we're running our brains ragged trying to find a gimmick that keeps us alive for just TWO SECONDS longer in a fight,..Jeees, is 2 seconds too much to ask for?!! LOL), that's it's really easy to feel like the game's picking on us, or giving way too much advantage to the "better players", "KB-operators", "the AV carriers", or tricking us somewhow with this EHP/proto suit/ skill-training math.
But I don't think the game is doing those tricks. I think the game is just THAT INVOLVED and INTRICATE.... not game-control wise but in: 1-- how really techinical it's become to successfully kill you're opponent, or 2-- how easily you're being killed due to a subtle weakness in your fittings or your playing technique that you just haven't become aware of yet.
Number 2 gets most of us. Honestly, I can't think of another FPS I've ever played that exploits the smallest faults in my gameplay as much as this game,... if my subconscious running around the map recklessly isn't protected with just the right combo of recharge-rate mod, or ROR stat on my weapon, the guy I accidentally run into gets to rip my spine out like in that old Predator movie, before either one of us gets a chance to see what the effective range or kill-efficiency % was warning us about.
I sometimes feel like the other FPS games were letting me get away with so much finger-skill and bugs bunny moves, so I didn't need REALLY much situation awareness. But in Dust, with every new patch, increased situation awareness and staying close to others seem the two skills that keep raising your WP and your Kill Ratios consistently.
But Ulysses is right too that you don't get a chance to see if "the other player" is sweating too. After Blackfalconer whips me with his perfect dropsuit, he can go around the corner and get smoked by a lone Newberry that tried a flux grenade and militia scrambler pistol... I'll be too busy cursing at my own death to notice how easily he lost that fight.
The battle-end stats only reflect cold WP and kills--they'll never reflect that maybe Team-1 was the only team that had a well-practiced squad, or that sometimes Team-2 unluckily gets a whopping 12 snipers, leaving 3 players trying to capture null cannons without much help.
...We still have a LOT of learning to do with this game. Hang in there, Heavenly. |

I blame progressively better tiers of gear. Everyone and their mother has been running Proto this morning and if I had my way, there wouldn't be 'Advanced' and 'Prototype' variants of suits at all. Just the Frame, which would have a bonus and a Specialization suit which has two bonuses and maybe a slot or two extra to implement their role a bit better.
Was in a match just a bit ago where three Proto Caldari Logi's were all running Proto Assault Scrambler Rifles - and you know what pissed me off the most? The fact that they were armor tanked and running stacked damage mods.
There's no sense of balance with these things and it allows these one sided matches to happen because they're trying to run a match maker when there are six different tiers of a single suit (frame std, adv, proto and the suit std, adv, proto). It's a really shoddy system that's no fun for anyone.

The suits really don't mean anything to someone who is level five ( including proficiency and marksmanship or even level four in these areas ) in assault rifles , scrambler rifles , forge guns ( and so on ) and armor as well as shields and their repairers . That's the thing that kills , not the suit . Yes it seems like the heavy suits are like paper thin today so it's not just you , I've noticed that myself .

the suit with mods out weighs the skills alone.
and if they are combined with the skills?
it will be a nightmare if u face that player.
plain and simple. |
