This skill allows the clone to receive a memory wipe allotting their total Sp to be relocated.
Level 1 = 1,000,000 sp Level 2 = 2,000,000 sp Level 3 = 4,000,000 sp Level 4= 6,000,000 sp Level 5= 8,000,000 sp
Skill Book Cost=100,000 Aurum
So basically, this would limit the community to 5 respecs total in their mercenary career, each time the sp penalty becoming more sever. I know you guys might be like HUR DUR WHY WOULD I SPEND 8 million SP ON A RESPEC WHAT A WASTE!
Well if it is your fifth time respeccing, you are a fotm player and should die slowly, or you have bad decision making skills.
Imagine your total SP is 64,000,000 SP, and you've specced into LOLScouts, and LolCommandos. Just a career of bad investments, yet now Shiny new MTACS come out, and amazing new skills.
Sacrificing 8 million SP to completely spec into a new class and be proficient might be well worth it...Just to get your 64 million sp back to completely spec into each races MTAC. This is just one example. The SP numbers came off the top of my head. I'm not sure how the exact numbers would work, but this is the general idea.
Keep respecing, keep sinking the sp, keep playing the game, keep interested.

im liking the Respec skillbook idea, and especially the part where you must sacrifice SP to be able to get the respec.
Im not feeling the 100,000 Aur cost. though. paying the equivalent of $50 for a respec is a bit excessive me thinks. |

Ouch its 50 bucks for 100,000 AUR? Maybe 40,000 aurum, that's just a cool 20 right?

I'll happily spend 1,000,000 SP on respec...then immediately respend it because I just got all of my SP back unallocated! It's not like you'd ever progress past the first rank anyway :P
But seriously, I think respecs should be left in the realm of 'big game changes' (ie, skill tree overhauls, skill modifier alterations, etc) and 'CCP-side ****-ups' (ie, we actually meant to do X instead of Y, have your skill points invested in Y back to respend.) |

Actually, I like it. Minus the AUR cost, because that makes it pay for power. 50 million ISK skill book however seems appropriate...
I like it because there's a definite up front limit, because it has escalating costs associated with it, and because it's just painful enough to not be abused. It averts all the things I hate about most respec ideas (which usually reward FOTM chasers).
Kudos and +1.

Yeh let me just spend 8m SP out of my 64m SP.......
besides that this is a stupid idea. it allows people to do whatever the hell they want which goes against the core fundamental of the game which is grind for something and then use it.
otherwise, what's the grinding for?
this is not ******* call of duty!!

NO, you would have to spend 8 m sp,to get your 64 million sp back. Meaning you need to grind 8 million sp unallocated.
This means your total would have been 72 million if you didn't want to respec, but just keep venturing into different minor weapons
This would be your fifth and final respec, so it would have to be really FLIPPING worth it. Like you fundamentally want to change what you have because it is years down the line and you only specced into tanks because you were waiting for mtacs...or something similar. Like you want to spec into all four race assault suits, instead of having specced into the scout suits.
I never played cod to know if they have sp or respecs....So I don't know if there is a level punishment like this system...You would be grinding 8 m SP WHICH TAKES QUITE A LONG TIME! Just to rearrange your sp. Which you probably would end up double spending on the same skills you want back. You are grinding.

+1, this is the best and most balanced respec idea I've heard on these forums, if you remove the AUR cost. The SP penalty is sufficient, and I think the numbers are good the way they are. |

50m can be a bit excessive for players who don't do PC.
How about 20m? And remove the AUR option. This game isn't p2w.
But considering the fact that it would take lifetimes to have lvl 5 in every skill, a respec is needed at some point.
Maybe have a free respec when you reach 5 million SP as well. that way when new players figure out how the skill trees work they won't have to QQ and re-grind the SP spent on worthless stuff, like derpsuit command level 5

Infinite Respec!
Luls this would be a seperate non-refundable skill.
It would have its own tab, and not even be located in the skill section.

In theory (using boosters and whatnot) skill points cost my aurum (skill point boosters are bought using aurum). So you are effectively saying to use AUR for respecs. Although you are also saying to limit it to 5 respecs per toon.
