Well, since we we basically know what we are going with going into 1.7 as far as vehicles go, which goes, and I already talked about vehicle hulls, I guess I should now talk about their insides. and what a good way to start it with my favorite thing about vehicles: blasters! (Well, I have to, I'm Gallente for life after all, even though I haven't used a blaster EVE side in such a long time lol. autocannons!)
Blasters are great tools of my trade: Great DPS and tracking, as well as ROF, but not so great range,so although it doesn't have the best Av capilities, it's can be done (especially if you are a good pilot), and it's especiall good at fighting infantry. However, there is something wrong with them in their current state. And that thing is the variants. Currently, although you can still do work with the other ones, the regular one is pretty much useless, the compressed is worse, and the stabilized is too hard to fit, making the superior blaster the scattered, being able to do pretty much all the things the others are supposed to do. That needs to change for verity's sake.
In my opinion, this is how they should work:
regular- stays the same
compressed- fix the adv. Compressed one, and slightly buff the ROF. no more than 25-30 RPM.
stabilized- make the requirements the same as the other turrets, maybe drop damage by 10-20 damage, but extend the optimal/effective/max range.
scattered- lower it's damage, but raise it's ROF, and give it the highest tracking abilities.
This will make it to where the regular is like now a good all around, but not really good at anything particular, the Compressed the best at alphaing things, Stabilized the best at sniping at stuff, and scattered the best infantry/light vehicle fighters, but horrible medium/heavy vehicle fighters. Everything get's a actual role!
