This is an old one. Obviously dating back to the beginning of this game. However, this issue has yet to be addressed after all this time.
Just recently, I was in a match when I managed to sneak up on an assault merc that was hacking my team's supply depot. I had his back completely exposed to me and I hit him with a full-charged attack followed by at least 5 consecutive instant slashes. While I was slashing him, he was constantly swapping suits back to back. He them swapped to the strongest suit he has which gave him a chance to turn around and kill me instantly even as I was stabbing him.
After sending a "bullshit" message to this guy, the gentleman kindly explained to me that swapping suits on the supply depot can make anyone temporarily immortal that it makes my attacks pointless.
This is not fair for players like me who went through all the trouble of successfully sneaking up on a target that is hacking or swapping suits on a SD.
Before any of you trolls come in here telling me "LOL, why is a scout with knives engaging at all" I don't need to remind you that I was the one with the element of surprise which gave me the advantage over him. I was also using ZN-28 Nova Knives buffed up by maxed-out operation and proficiency skill books and 2x Enhanced Damage Modifiers on my Scout M/1-Series suit which I also have maxed-out skills for. That guy should have been dead on the first blow. With these knives, I could one-hit-kill most assault mercs without a single problem other than hit detection. Those assaults that do survive the first hit, generally don't live after the follow-up stab.
CCP, fix this as soon as humanly possible because this is stupid. No merc should have to suffer something like this just because someone was swapping suits.
CCP, please fix the Nova Knives. Thank you.

They don't suck entirely. It's the poor ass hit detection on the knives. According to the recent 1.6 patch notes, there have been improvements made to the hit detection but I have to see for myself how far those improvements go.
Right now, assuming the hit detection doesn't get in my way, the knives can tear through most assault like a hot knife through butter. But when the bad hit detection does get in the way, the knives just make the shields flash and that's it.
But anyways, I still see it as unfair that I didn't get the kill at that one moment at the supply depot after making absolutely certain that I snuck up on him first. Like I said, his back was perfectly exposed to me at that moment.
CCP, please fix the Nova Knives. Thank you.

Not quite right. It has to be a different dropsuit rather than class. Switching from an Adv Min Logi to a Adv Cal Logi will work. As will swtich from an Adv Min Logi to a Proto Min Logi or from an Adv Min Logi to a Std Gal Scout.
That's exactly what I saw. The guy I pounced on was originally wearing an Amarr Assault suit. When I started attacking, he was switching to a Caldari Assault and then back again repeatedly.
CCP, please fix the Nova Knives. Thank you.
