First of I am not asking a copy and paste of these elements! These are merely pointers, springboards if you will. They are elements from other games that CCP would benifit from looking at, giving their own unique twist!
ARMY OF TWO: 40th DAY - Weapon Customization The 40th day uses a completly customizable system, you can change everything from the tactical rail, the barrel and stock to scopes, grips and attachmemts. If you can think it up you can have it!
DUST would benefit from a similar system, to give us our war our way. Im talking full blown customization for T3 weapons, firing modes, barrels, attachments grips, secondary fire all need to be introduced, to really give us a feel that its our weapon, not a TESCO value rifle!
BRINK - Locomotion When BRINK was released there were so many things wrong with. But at least one of the good things about it was its movement system, medium frames could bound across the maps unassailed, you could vault over tables and fences, slide through air ducts and under handrails.
Dust would benifit from such a system, where players could move about the environment with ease, battles would be more dynamic and interesting.
MASS EFFECT 3 - Power No im not talking about biotics, im talking about how the game makes you feel, every firefight was frantic and fast paced, every kill carried so much punch you felt god like in comparison to your enemies. But this was done not because they were puny but because of the immersion. Every level was filled with materials built directly into the world!
DUST could benefit from more immersion, in EVE space doesn't need that much to feel like space! But down here we need things like tannoys, flashing lights, that kinda a thing, anything that makes the world more than just an empty shell.
ASSASSINS CREED - Soundtrack Assassins Creed features an expansive soundtrack which melds from track to track seamlessly.
DUST desperately needs some form of music, the maps sometimes just sound a bit desolate and the current login music just isn't enough!
Hopefully most of you agree and please feel free to add your own!

[Facepalm] Mass Effect 3 doesn't have a PvP mode, it runs 30FPS on my console, and I limit it to 60 on my PC. I thing the point Rogeration was making isn't DUST has nothing to learn from other games that aren't an FPS Lobby Shooter.
Which is terribly narrow minded for someone playing an RPG a game which has been ***terdised the most in recent years!

Anything that had a PvE environment before official release.
I hate to mention the devil's name, but Halo had their Warthog physics spot on from the beginning. (And O.G. Needlers, OMFG...)
I agree with black, however think about the memory required to make it happen.
Needlers . . . . No hell, overpowered as ****

Pewpew, pewpew, the enemy died.
The weapons lacked Punch, they lacked feeling of weight if you used an accuracy stabilizer. And even without, they still felt like nerf dartguns.
That, along with the feeling of Meh that the guns sound inspired.
Immersion would be appreciated however. Like more visible heat blur, or improved lighting effects.
While a nice soundtrack would be nice, it would need to be reworked with the sound of robo-lady barking battlefield intel at us, and the number of other background noises (Weapon fire, Tank rounds, Null cannon Fire, Vehicle sounds).
One track that was VERY good that I am questioning why CCP thought it was smart to take away was the CB battle song. It was really, really good.
Hmm. I feel like I want to say that Brink seemed like a good system, but it really seems like a bad thing in a game like DUST.
vaulting over shoulder-high walls, or climbing up boxes, sure.
But Sliding under a table and dolphin diving through windows.... Hmmmmmm.
The Army Of TWO style customization is coming.
Probably wont change the guns looks like AoTWO, but should be changing important stats like ROF, Damage, accuracy, and Scope Style.
It already can be done, we just need it to be personable specifically to a weapon, instead of a module on a suit.
Yeah Ill admit the guns from ME3 felt a bit weak! I played a vanguard with a reverant and scimitar shotgun, they were the only to I used and they felt good, however im not after the weaponry from ME3 I want ita rich environments filled with items, like the datapads prothean relics and computer consoles, I want DUST to feel like Im fighting somewhere real, not a combat sim.
As for BRINK I agree we don't need dolphin dives but a knee slide could still work, Im more after the feeling of speed the system conveyed, mlike a wrecking ball of death and destruction, momentum was a big part of it!

More like "Yeah, no ****, that would obviously be awesome... but have you thought about WHY it's not that way right now?"... Two of OP's suggestions were pretty specific suggestions and directly related to hardware/engine limitations (i.e. it's not something you just 'patch in'). Just making the point that it helps to understand hardware/engine capabilities and limitations and the tradeoff multiplayer games make relative to single-player. You can learn from lots of different things, but I'd respond the same to someone who said "We need 128 vs 128 on the PS3!!!" in a similar fashion. As far as modular weapons stuff? Meh, I find the idea underwhelming but I'm an FPS noob so WTF do I know?
I am the OP, but yes I understand the limitations, the amount of memory required etc. But is just something to consider something to aim towards!
