Leovarian L Lavitz NECROM0NGERS 747	Posted - 2013.11.03 19:28:00 - [1] - Quote Makes Mercs go nuts. I've seen tanks go 30/0 without a single enemy infantry swapping to AV. Yet, a single death to a dropship makes that merc go permanent AV the rest of the match. Three kills with an ads? half the enemy team is bound to go AV. It's actually useful for winning pubs because now the blue infantry only have to deal with AV'ers chasing some fairy dropship that has only 3 kills, and finishes the match 3/0.

Have you had an enemy dropship (particularly logi dropship) suicide into you? I have had it happen three times >.< They always die, and the people onboard them die too. I've upped my hp since the last one, cuz FU suicide dropship guy >:(, you can suicide alone.

I like doing this when the opportunity presents itself problem is I can't ever seem to do enough damage to break through their tank before something forces me to disengage long enough for their rep/booster cooldown to pass (about to crash into the ground trying to keep aim on the guy while he goes nuts spinning around, enemy ADS flies into enemy redline, etc) I spent an ENTIRE MATCH dogfighting an ADS once, neither of us were able to outdo eachothers piddly standard shield boosters, and I'm pretty sure he had a better missile launcher than me Funny thing, I got shot down by a dropship fitted with railguns once. The damage was a joke, but the wtf impact physics of the railgun rounds flipped me upside down and sent me into the ground with the force of a meteor Maybe I should try that instead

I have noticed this often. Only recently been playing with assault dropships. I have a buddy that flys them rather well, and I tank main. Always get a mountain of kills for myself, and my buddy is like really dude, you haven't been touched once! So I just go about mowing down the AV that seems to totally forget that I'm a priority target over the dropship. Though in my dropship, once they pull out the AV, they don't freaking stop. They are like zombies, mindlessly trying to shoot me out of the sky as the actual threat, another tank murders them. Might be because dropships are squishy and "easy to kill" in relation to tanks.

Dropships that are one shotted are either unmodified militia vs advanced forge or poorly fitted vs breach/assault.

If I have gunners, I will make evasive positioning in an attempt to let them kill you, but it would take approx 11 seconds to kill a buffered forge heavy with missile splash if all missiles' splash hit. In that time an assault forge gun can deal over 8,000 damage. Simple dps vrs tank math shows that it's better to just run, the ship isn't going to win if you can kill it in under a quarter of the time it takes to kill you.

That would be me sorry ..I use gorgon to ram other dropships out of the sky cause its fun..sometimes..I like when we end up flying circles around each other as their gunners try to blast me out of the sky I do die cause some gunnners and pilots are just too good and Im not skilled into av so its my replacement for them when a DS rolls on by...now only if I rammed a miltia tank into a tank they would both explode

Its more due to the fact that small missiles on a dropship where once the reason why every 1 feared them. I was once a active pilot and the record from one of my gunners was 101 kills and no deaths. That was during the closed beta with small missiles which where capable to 1 hit heavys with splash damage. People dont forget stuff like that and thats why every 1 grabs a swarm launcher. The motive is called "revenge" and it will continue until the same amount of dropships has beeing destroyed as people have beeing killed by them. I shall show you a world, a world which you cant imagine, a world full off butthurt n00bs at the other end of my gun
