Madrugar with no plates - 4 Active Resists.
Madrugar with 180mm Polycrystalline Plates - 2 Active Resists.
Saw some guy running the 4 Active Resist fit, called him out about it, and he was convinced it was better, I think this is just BS (Because stacking penalties, and the amount of modules you have to manage could lead to some easy mistakes)
So really, which is better?
He says his Resists are at 70% with both modules active, my resists are somewhere around 50% with both modules active and passives.
I'm really considering leaving that 'Tanker' channel, because last night someone was trying to tell me his Falchion would beat any Madrugar.
Raffle draw will be in 2-3 days

LOL the best maddy fit is the one with a heavy rep and a sh*t ton of resist and a nitrus. If you use it well it's IMO by far the best tank on the field.

Yeah me too.
I was watching the guy in a match, and he barely beat a Limited Ed. HAV, and was easily taken out by AV afterwards.

The second fit is much better in my opinion, and I haven't even ran any Madrugars. My reasoning is like this:
- Less module management involved
- Little stacking penalty, so all hardeners are to almost full effect
- Plate would add more EHP than adding two more hardeners due to stacking penalties

Stacking any mod after the 3rd provides minimal bonus, even the 3rd mod is very tiny. Guy is wrong. Very wrong.
Additionally, my falchion can beat any maddie. Not all the time mind you, I imagine a rail to be a huge problem. Running missiles I can out range a blaster maddie, given I can keep my range.
I fought a well fit missile maddie, up close and personal yesterday. He got me once, but it was that cheap bullshit where he rams me, and blows me up, because for some reason, the more armor you got the more damage you do to other things. Second go around he tried rammin me, but I dodge and just lay down the hurt. Left me with hardly any shields and armor, but that ******* went down. lol |

I can imagine missile fits being effective Vs Maddies, but the risk would be so high that it wouldn't be worth it.
Most Falchions I see are Blaster HAVs anyway (For some reason)

I actually ditched my Falchions for Gunnlogis for the sole reason that for some strange reason, people work extra hard to kill me when I am in my Falchion. And my Falchions were of no cost to me, thanks to Mordu's Challenge, but people still tried extra hard as if the Falchion was my own ISK.

You've got to have the HP in the first place in order to have any resist on it.
I used to be a tanker, then I took a swarm to the tread.

The problem about no plate is the missing buffer hp, due to which AV can burst.
However, I'm not sure which fit would really win, one against each other

Fit with 180 plate is better. Especially since stacking penalty is bugged for vehicles atm. Meaning the first active resist only gives 16% resist...
Please don't

I'd say the best tank is a tank that reps a second tank, that reps a third tank, leading to an unstoppable conga line of death until the team quota is reached
I may seem biased to some...
But in the end all I want is perfect balance between everything.

People in this game can be very viscous when it comes to things that cost loads money, which is why I feel sorry for people with AUR tanks.

I saw someone bring out a Vayu with 4 active resists once in a PC CHICAGOCUBS4EVER ****ed it up with his FG. Who was it that made this claim I might recognize the name?
The later is better.

A well-fitted Falchion COULD hypothetically destroy most Madrugars with ease, you have to realize how amazing a third low slot is to a shield tanker. Plus, explosive damage bonuses are certainly a plus against armor tankers.
Although, to be fair, I have never seen a well-fitted Falchion.
Drives a missile tank. Surprise.
